  If USB hadn't given us a good mortgage rate we'd never have stuck with them. They are by far the most unorganized and disrespectful bank I've ever dealt with. It took us 4 months to refi with them and we were already with them! They had all the info. They constantly recalculate my escrow higher.

  What can I say, we had a fantastic experience all around. USB had great mortgage loan rates, and their customer service was fantastic. We worked with Mike Stevens – who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and prompt in all of our interactions. We had a tight timeline, and he got it done without missing a beat. Would highly recommend working with them.

  I choose USB based on the reviews. I went through the 800 number and didn't not go local. My loan was poorly handled by the loan officer, the manager when it was escalated, and by the escrow department when things still were not addressed. Outside of the poor service, they failed to pay my insurance and my policy was cancelled. I didn't not find out about this until I recently had a claim but this was the escrow issue that was to have been addressed by their escrow department. If you decided to use them, I would go local since and have a personal contact.

  Took 7 weeks to close. Never heard from them. Left 4 voicemails and sent 3 emails that were never returned. Escrow changed after 1 month due to their miscalculation. They never notified me in advance, just called to let me know they could not process the lower payment. Update: They did not make my home owners insurance payment so I have been without coverage for the last week without knowing it. Terrible service! They contacted me two weeks after the policy had lapsed to let me know they did not know how to make the payment. Can not wait to refinance to another bank. You are unable to see your mortgage balance online and they charge you to make a mortgage payment electronically.

  Highly recommend Mike Stevens. We’ve worked with him several times, during the purchase of our new house and when we refinanced. He was always available, quick to respond, and very personable. We will be back in the future!!

  I have financed three homes with these guys, and they consistently compete with the sea of loan flippers. If you want to see what non-service is, try getting a loan with a company that sells it the month after they close the deal. I have always had a good experience, and even like their old-fashioned lending practices. There are places making up numbers just to turn a loan. I don't see them doing that here, and most of the advice I received was right on the money. They closed on time in the middle of a pandemic, and this allowed me to nail down an awesome new property (and loan) and without having to play real estate games. I can recommend Brett Boston without reservation. Same with the whole company, all the way back to HQ in Cincinnati.

  I worked with Steven Riha for a refinance. He did a fantastic job! It was really easy, quick and professional. Steven responded almost instantly with answers to my questions. I HIGHLY recommend working with Steven. I just sent some friends to him and they are happy as well. :) THUMBS UP!

  My wife and I recently refinanced our existing mortgage to take advantage of the current lower interest rates. We contacted Kathleen Singer Monroe as she was recommended by a friend. We can't overstate the service she provided to us during this process. While the refi took place during the pandemic closure of businesses, Kathleen did not miss a beat in her unbelievable responsiveness to us. I even received a response to an email I had sent to her with some questions that was time stamped from her after midnight. She is the "poster child" for what you would want customer service from a bank to be. Thank you so much for your assistance Kathleen!

  The refinancing process was simple and clearly communicated by Tammy. The encrypted USB site made submitting all docs and forms online easy and secure. I was able to accomplish all submissions in less than one day. Tammy answered the few questions that I had almost immediately. The closing documents were error free and the closing was completed in 10 minutes. Tammy provided a refinancing experience that ranks as my best ever.

  A coworker referred me to USB and specifically to Michael Stevens. I was not disappointed. I highly recommend working with Michael Stevens. Our refinance took longer than expected (at no fault of USB or Michael's) and Michael constantly kept me updated on what was going on. Ultimately, we were able to secure a great rate with very minimal closing costs. I will be back if and when I need these services again!
