Opened my first account here a bit over a week ago, waited for about 5 minutes to be seen and then got a checking and savings account done in about 10-15 minutes. Would’ve been less if I didn’t ask so many questions, I was helped out by Ethan, he was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. Everything was very simple and straightforward. Looking forward to building a great relationship with them.

What they post on the site for notary instructions and what the branch requires regarding appointments are different. There were only a few people im their and I had to wait pretty long to be turn down for a notary. Need more notary staff.

I had a very negative experience at this particular branch. I do not have a problem with Golden 1, just a poor experience at this location. My husband and I signed in and waited for over an hour to open an account. We were fine waiting but the problem occurred when they started encouraging us to leave. A woman came over and said "It's going to be a while". We responded by saying, "That's fine. We're already waiting. So we'll just stay". She had a similar conversation with another woman waiting and got that woman to leave. My husband and I continued to wait. Finally it was 5:30 and they started locking the doors. The same woman came back and said, "I don't think we'll be able to help you". I said, "No, that's not right. I arrived here over and hour ago. We've waited. You need to help us". She proceeded to talk about being understaffed, having to help the tellers (which she never did), having many other things to do, etc. She said, "The other woman working on accounts is already helping people and she's not going to be done for a long time. She's supposed to get off at 5:30 and it's already later than that". My husband and I said, "Well, how long does it take to open an account?". The woman responded, "Oh, 5-10 minutes", but she continued to list off other things she had to do and said she couldn't help us. She then unlocked the door and held it open for us, so we left. I am very frustrated by this event. I understand that people have many commitments. Work can get very busy and stressful. I completely understand all of that. I know it's frustrating to have to stay late. However, it's not like I snuck in during the last 2 minutes before closing. I sat there and patiently waited for over an hour and then was asked to leave. I was under the impression that if you were in the building before closing, they would help you. I guess that is incorrect. Very disappointing.

If I had a turtle, I think it it will faster than the tellers. Still waiting after 30 minutes and I only half way there. 14 people waiting and only 2 tellers working

Pathetic. I deposited a CASHIER'S CHECK, not over the $5,000 hold limit, but they still put a ONE WEEK hold on the money. Also, most of the time the waiting time is ridiculous, they are consistently understaffed.

Awesome service, just don't ever go negative. They will happily pay for your purchase at $26 per bounce. No daily limit.

I like Golden 1 as a whole but they are so slow and their systems suck.
