  I opened our account 10 years ago. At the time the staff and service were amazing. Now everytime I log in or walk into a branch and see "Your best interest at heart" I get angry. I believe today was my last straw .......is it in someone's best interest to charge them $30 for $0.35 overdraft!!! Oh an then proceed to tell them you will not refund the fee because they were kind enough to refund one fee 3 years ago!!! Is it in someone's best interest to have them still waiting for a title to a car that was paid off 4 months ago, without a missed or late payment!!

  I used to have the biggest distrust of financial institutions but after my father convinced me to join Gen Fed, well I still had my doubts. But over time they proved to be wonderful, not just for my actual credit but they've helped me out with quick loans with very low rates, probably the lowest tbh lol. And Everytime I walk in everyone is so freaking nice I feel like a borderline celebrity at this point. I have formed bonds with different tellers over the years And I think I will continue to for a very long time

  They are one of the last classy establishments around that offer true customer service and help! Kristen and Ashley have been awesome helping me getting my finances right with the correct loans at great rates💯

  Absolutely the best service I have experienced at a bank or credit union. Very thankful for a great staff and management. I always reccomend GF to all of my friends and coworkers.

  NOT FDIC Insured. They couldn't cancel my card, told me I had to recover my own money, and tried to make it sound like it was my fault I was hacked. I wouldn't trust them with Monopoly money.

  Went in to get preapproved for a home loan. Went through the process of getting together all the documents they asked for. I dropped off the documents and was told by the loan officer that she would call me in a couple days and go from there. Never got a call so I went to the branch and was told the lady I dealt with would be in at 10 and I should hear from her by noon. Never got a call so I called them at 2 to be told that they dont do home loans anymore and they were sorry, which was a lie. So I went to the branch to get my documents back. The lady who worked in the office told me she didn't have any documents and tried to tell me that I never gave them any. What a joke! So I went to FairWay mortage in Stow and told them what happened and was told by them since I'm self employed they probably didn't want to deal with me because the process is more in depth and a little more work. FairWay made it easy and enjoyable and was told by them that since me and my wife's credit was great and the amount of our down payment that we would no problem getting a 250,000 loan and that GenFed missed a great opportunity to get our business. I dont know if it was laziness or incompetence but I will never do business with them again.
