  The best thing about Gateway Mortgage in Waxahachie is to offer you to have the lowest interest rate. Lance Wallace helped us refinance our home by notifying us when the rates went down. That’s customer service. It was an easy transition and expert communications. Emails, text and phone calls were the norm for Lance. This was our second experience with Gateway and I’m very impressed with their level and quality of work. I would recommend Lance Wallace, the local mortgage expert.

  Waste of time and money. Waited to close on a construction loan for 5 weeks, received lowball appraisal from appraiser. Sent and filed in a rebuttal to the appraisal and never was able to get an answer from Loan Officer for follow up. Loan officer had great communication to begin with until we signed the contract - after that he was dodgy and did not seem like he was on our side. Decided to stop wasting time and move on to another lender. Would not recommend.

  So disappointed. I called several times on a tax problem and not only did they tell me to ignore it but never told me I was suppose be dealing with the "Gateway Mortgage Service Center". On top of that, the whole thing cost me $1300 in late fees and they brushed it off despite all the red flags on their end. I would NEVER recommend them for financing or refinancing.

  If you are looking for a company with a solid reputation to handle your possible mortgage loan ... this is it and here's why: I never knew of/heard of Gateway Loan before my father fell and is now brain damaged. My mom has Alzheimer's and suddenly I was put in charge of all their fiances, bills, medical issues. Not only is it worrisome to be responsible for their monies because I want to make the best decisions possible for my parents but ... I ran into roadblock after roadblock. I don't have the proper power of attorney, I don't have the right numbers or information ... it has been a nightmare. I had to close my father's bank account and start over, only to discover new roadblocks. The ONE COMPANY who not only emailed me back but personally called me, said they were sorry, that they understood and wished me well ... the ONE COMPANY that actually worked with me and made life easier is Gateway Mortgage Group and I am so thankful. It is a rare in today's business world to find that blend of compassion, common sense, humanity, and efficiency but Gateway has it. Thank you Jeff Schmidt, Nick Hester, Billie Tatum and the Waxahachie, Texas office of Gateway for making our lives just a little bit easier today.

  We just recently used Gateway Mortgage to buy a home in Heath and these guys made the process totally painless. Jeff Schmidt was great to work with and he even got us closed on the house a week early w/ only 2 days notice. Highly recommend!!!

  They sell your mortgage to other companies. Then if you try to refinance with them they act very interested in helping you but lie and say they will call you back Monday . It's been over a week past Monday and still no call back from them . They apparently don't care about customers.

  My realtors referred me to Gateway and honestly it should have been my first choice , Adrian Sanchez has more than impressed me with effective trustworthy business principles to a point I have little worry if any at all! It’s rare for me to go with the flow of things without question yet that’s exactly what’s currently happening !

  worse customer service ever. They never follow up with you via email or phone to confirm the task has been completed. Find a company that will provide better customer service.
