Mom passed away and all we wanted to do was pay off her mortgage loan from the sale of the house. Little did we know that they are one of the worst mortgage companies to work with- we were told through this process. We had to call and fax numerous times the information they wanted- which we did. (who faxes anymore??) Even our realtor and title company joined the process. Well after much stress- it all got worked out. You think it would be easier to give them their money.

Freedom Mortgage acquired my V.A. loan from Veterans United in 2020. Upon receiving my loan F.M. contacted me to do a stream line loan for a cheaper interest rate. They took my escrow account and applied it to the principal and failed to pay my 2020 tax's. I began contactimg them in March 2021 to straighten this out. F.M. was able to pay my winter tax's of 2020 but have not paid my summer tax's of 2020 and 2021. They began taking an extra 200 a month for the escrow shortage that they created. I have been told they paid it, their check was returned, there is no bill due at this time. The crisis team is checking Into it. 4 months and still haven't paid them. I do NOT recommend this company.

My loan officer, Christopher Hardy was awesome! He was hands on from day 1 & throughout the entire process. He kept me updated and on top of my paperwork that was needed. He answered all my questions and concerns with promptness & professionalism. The Freedom Mortgage team was great to work with!

Was absolutely terrible to work with, was told getting the loan would be no issue after having jumped through a ton a hoops. This being weeks prior. Then when we actually found the home we wanted they change the rules the day of after we already had an offer accepted and say now they won't do the loan, extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend using them to anyone if they can just lie and change guidelines and rules in the middle of working with them.

This whole process was absolutely awful with the exception of Patti. I was originally working with Roger but some how got switched to Harry and was never notified there was a change until I received an email on 7/15/2020 from Harry informing me my closing date was being changed to “8/6 or sooner” from the original date of 7/24/2020. That was the only correspondence I ever received from Harry. Harry never responded to a single email I sent nor returned my phone calls. Maybe I have higher standards for communication as I’m a nurse and work with physicians and patients but I would absolutely not recommend Harry to anyone I know. The lack of communication is horrendous. Buying a first house is supposed to be exciting and I’m sure at times stressful but this whole experience has been absolutely dreadful since Roger was no longer on my file. I should not have to reach out to a former employee to find out what my next steps were. I hope in the future when Harry takes over files he treat those clients as he would want to be treated and not left in the dark. Aside from Harry’s initial email and responding once to my Realtor’s email I did not hear from him after 7/15/2020 when he stated my closing date would be 8/6/2020 or sooner. On 7/28/2020 when I realized I had not heard from anyone I called and left voicemails and sent emails. I also had to call the customer service at Freedom Mortgage. That is absolutely ridiculous. My closing date changed not only from 7/24 to “8/6 or sooner” to 8/10 and then finally 8/11. I had to adjust not only my work schedule but also my move out date several times. This is not acceptable. Had I not taken the initiative I’m sure my file would not have been touched. I’m not sure how Harry Azzano is a manager of a branch. I would never recommend him.

My loan officer never bothered to ask about citizenship status and knowingly recorded my husband’s ethnicity incorrectly. They preapproved me for a loan I was not eligible for and had to change the loan type weeks into the process. They were aware of my urgency to close on time and told me up until the last possible day that I would. I did not. I went without a home for an evening with no warning. Their ability to communicate is nonexistent. Every employee blamed my experience on COVID. Harry told me he would find a resolution, but has been ignoring my emails inquiring about an update for 3 weeks. I have never worked with more unprofessional people in my life. No one will take ownership of their negligence. Please save yourself some stress and use any other company to finance your home.

Charles was amazing to work with especially with him always being available and being on top of the transaction and communicating. He made the process very easy for my buyers. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to use a lender that does an A plus job! 5 stars ⭐️ for sure!!

Absolutely horrible experience. The loan was originate with someone who left the company. I wonder why... Harry will not respond to any emails and I was overcharged for an appraisal. I did not want to sign and got it in writing in both text and email of the change, so then I did sign. Mistake. Harry has been very unprofessional, as the loan was almost through and then last minute they said I had to pay $3k to keep the rate or I lose the loan and money altogether. This place is a scam. I'll refer you to someone reputable and honest.

100% recommend this company to anyone buying a house. First time home owners especially. Freedom is on top of whatever questions you have at almost anytime of the day. Everything closed on time and smoother than I ever anticipated. Thanks to Stephanie and the team at freedom mortgage.

Jim Cook worked hard to advise my client from the time of her divorce how to position herself to buy. He followed up with her as the time passed to keep her working toward the goal. When it was time, he got her pre-approval and then helped her establish a payment amount and purchase price that would meet her lifestyle goals. The client had several questions and had him run scenarios throughout the home shopping period which he handled expertly and promptly. He had her loan package approved and ready to close early. Great experience for all involved!

      Response from the owner

Michelle, thank you for sharing the positive experience you had with Freedom Mortgage. As a valued Partner, your feedback is greatly appreciated.
