  I had the pleasure of working with Desiree, Carin and the rest of Desiree's team on a recent refinance of a rental property. From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive and made sure that I really understood each part of the process. They took the time to not only respond by email but to call me and to send me video updates about what was going on. I was confident that I had a team not only working for me but with me to ensure that I got the best deal and would be approved. Any time a request was made for yet another document, Carin reached out to make sure I knew why the document was requested, which helped me focus and quickly respond with the correct document. I jokingly said that I would like to get approved by my birthday and they made it happen. I can't thank them enough.

  Fortis Mortgage, LLC provided our family with one of the greatest experiences in home buying and refinancing our second home simultaneously. Our mortgage broker, Shawn, was highly professional, technologically savvy in his approach, personable, and beyond patient throughout the process amongst a number of other well deserving customer service superlatives. The Fortis Mortgage team was able to find and fit us into a great deal and provided us with a plethora of options just to give us "other looks" at the marketplace. He really was one of the catalysts to ensuring the success of us as people and not just a "number" in a large business enterprise. I can't understate how much of an asset the Fortis Mortgage, LLC team and Shawn Williams are in the home buying process from a mortgage broker standpoint. He definitely comes highly recommended in my book!

  My family and I are deeply and forever grateful to Shawn Williams and the company he founded, Fortis Mortgage. In March of 2021, we found out suddenly that we were going to have to leave the house we had rented for 10 years within a couple of months, so we were scared and very stressed out about finding a home. Houses were going incredibly quickly, and when we reached out to the two big name banks my husband and I had respectively banked with for 20+ years - reaching out online, in person, and by phone - both entirely failed us. We got no response, a suggestion to make an appointment for a few days later or to apply online, and emails saying someone would reach out in a couple of days (they never did). In the midst of this disaster, Shawn truly saved us. We first spoke with Shawn on the phone at about 6pm the night that bids were due on the house that we really wanted - and by 9pm (deadline for bids) he already had a pre-approval for us that we were able to submit with our bid, for what is now our home. (Without that pre-approval, there is no way that we would have had a chance at all.) After that too, Shawn was so personable, informed, responsive, and helpful. Honestly I had never, and could never have imagined having, such a good experience with anything involving finances. Throughout the process he sent us videos made just for us explaining options, showing us all the numbers, following up on questions we had asked (and it was really nice to be able to refer back to the videos later if we wanted to), and even when he was answering essentially the same or even entirely the same question more than once, he was utterly patience and gentle with us. Plus it was always easy to reach him by phone or email to talk through more questions (if he was busy, he would always call us back quickly - he never once forgot to respond to a question or return a call). Whenever we ran into any issue at all, he found a way through for us. We could tell that he genuinely cared about our family and us, and about making sure we were happy and in the best situation we could be in. Shawn will be our mortgage broker for life - and we also see him now as a friend.

  Shawn Williams at Fortis Mortgage was unbelievable for us in the home buying process. His charts and diagrams that he provided were in great detail and easy to read and comprehend. Everyone that we interacted with at Fortis Mortgage was extremely responsive and willing to talk/meet well after normal business hours. Could not recommend Shawn and his team enough!

  The service level that I received from Fortis Mortgage was beyond exemplary and the interest rate was excellent. From the very first interaction I had with Shawn Williams (President), I felt confident that my account would be handled with the utmost care. The team (Carin, Tayvia and Darren) that assisted me was phenomenal. Everyone was very responsive and took the time to respond to my various inquiries. The overall process was smooth and automated. This was much appreciated given the COVID-19 environment. Despite his demanding schedule, Shawn was diligent about checking in and providing updates along the way. He even sends personalized video replies to your emails—now that’s A+ service:) I would definitely partner with Fortis again and have already recommended them to family and friends.   Shawn Williams and Fortis Mortgage was everything we could have expected in walking us through the process of finding the right mortgage for us. He was knowledgeable, professional, responsive and attentive to our needs. While the mortgage process can be exhausting Fortis Mortgage explained each step and what to expect during the next before we got there.   The Fortis Mortgage Team is absolutely the best in the business! My wife and I have undergone this process on 5 different occassions. In this scenario we were dealing with a pandemic, virtual schooling, a new job and living apart in two different states for 5 months.   My experience with the Fortis team was truly 5 star. They worked hard for my business and made me feel like I was important to them, not just the business transaction. They made themselves readily available to me, provided real options, real numbers and re-ran them without me asking every time there was a new variable. The Fortis team stayed on task & on time while keeping me on task & on time in a very professional yet personally reassuring manner during a very stressful simultaneous buy\sell. It also seems that they are ahead of the curve with there technology, virtual meetings, video messaging, video analysis updates etc without a single hiccup. I have already and will in the future recommend Fortis to people I know in need of mortgage assistance.
