So happy about shared branches. I was able to get the money I needed to purchase a used truck. Home is Wisconsin and I would have been stuck otherwise.

      Response from the owner

Hi, Holly. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!

I love coming to this branch so much that it always my first stop over any other FirstLight branch. Because I’ve felt welcomed and part of the first light family. They always have the best currency and the bankers here second to none when it comes to banking knowledge! They are always willing to give the best advice!

      Response from the owner

Hi, Errol. We are thrilled to learn that you had a positive experience with us!

I had my debit card # stolen by unknown people around the United States by use of cracking into FirstLight’s database 3 times. I would think after the first they would have somebody keeping an eye on my card but somehow the found my # along w/ many other people’s and used it—2 time it was in Chicago and once in the NE somewhere. I didn’t feel safe or protected so I transferred to Bank of America and feel like I’m actually cared for and so much more protected and cared for there!

This bank really is great until life hits you. Theyre nothing but cold vultures when it comes to your money AND sanity. Another inept company I had business with tried pulling funds in my name and when I had the company on the line to explain the unauthorized transactions, the equally inept bank teller denied assisting me. The workers lie to cover each other and they have no issue keeping you from speaking to a manager. Managers dont seem to care about your money either even if they put you into the negatives because of an issue they are both responsible for and refuse to fix. If I had money and time id sue them for the few hundred dollars they took.

I would give this 0 stars if I could for my experience in this bank as well as their HR department and how they just inconsiderately toss aside People's resume without even giving them a chance setting up an interview and getting to Know someone who could potentially be a great employee your HR department is seriously lazy and judge mental and you guys need to do better at your jobs. Not only that this bank is ridiculous in the way that they charge people when they go negative on their accounts. Like seriously how are you going to do that to somebody who went negative and they obviously don't have any money to pay you a fee. This is a money Hungry company and I will definitely be leaving soon once I find a much better bank.

Ladies in the front desk were nice customer service, but overall the credit union has policies that can bankrupt a person. They will cross collaterize all your assets to loan money, but if you default any account, you surrender everything. Money hungry credit union. Takes advantage of the less fortunate.
