First Tech Federal Credit Union Reviews

Amanda H1Terrible. I am so disappointed in this CU. I've been a member here for years, back when it was known as the 'state employees CU', only because my mom used to work for the state and I haven't found the time to move all of my things over. This is beyond frustrating - the website and app are constantly down, and in those times where you need assistance with something, you can never get a hold of anyone to actually help you. When you try and call, you get an automated system that tells you 'Oh, we're down for maintenance, call back the next business day', which is kind of difficult for those of us who work all day and could have account issues. I would hope that if security and safety are a priority, they'd make an effort to get you in touch with someone. They don't care about their members and I honestly can't wait to move my accounts away from them and to a place that actually cares about people.

Dorcas Mitchell5Marla was very friendly and helpful when I went in to set up savings accounts for my children. I've been with First Tech for over 15 years now and have always had good experiences with them.

Lucero5I’ve been with FTCU for just over a year, but I’ve had a great experience. Their site and app are easy and simple to use, which is important to me because that’s how I do most of my banking. I had some issues with a direct deposit coming through (not on First Techs end), and I sent an email to Tony. Within minutes he was on the phone with me. That’s completely unheard of with traditional big banks, and it was very impressive and great to know he was on top of it.

Judy Stumpf5Best service friendly tellers around! I've been with First Tech Credit Union since 1996. If you see a review about them being "slow"... Maybe you should look around, & see you are not the only person in the building with a need. My suggestion would be to higher more tellers, or have one person specifically for drive-up customers. I think the tellers do the best service around! Dave, the branch manager, goes over and above to help his customers! *breathe*smile*enjoy life*

Sarah E5Juan helped me set up a savings and checking account. He was very friendly and informative. He also offered, with no obligation, to check for discounts on car insurance, which I gladly accepted. Everyone I dealt with today had excellent customer service. I'm happy to be a new member with First Tech.

W.C.5I have had the best experience of any bank or credit union at this location. Have had some great help here with some personalized service that has turned out swell. There are some form of unpleasantness with any person or entity however I am very pleased with this location and organization overall. Beware of reviews that don't offer any substantiation to their opinion, furthermore if the reviewer has a propensity to leave other poor reviews that are also unsubstantiated consider omitting their review. For those who are not aware there isn't any credit union that is FDIC insured, instead credit unions are federally insured via NCUA for up to 250k per individual depositor.

Charles Peck4Very sad to leave these folks. Went in with a specific problem that the previous manager had been able to fix. Explained it to the account manager only to have a bunch of irrelevant information repeated back to me. Had the bank manager come out and explain the same completely unrelated information to me, then tell me that i just need to be careful not to incur the charges they put against my account that were counter to the arrangement we had for my account the previous 3 years, and then told that since there was a new manager they wouldn't honor our agreement. What a shame.

warren gould3When I can actually talk to someone they solve problems quickly. They have a single number and as of right now, I'm on a 30 minute hold for a representative. Their mortgage loan staff are useless and nearly cost me a house I was purchasing when they couldn't hold up to what they said they could do. It would be far better if I could just call my branch and talk to someone that knows me.

Susan Martin5I have been with First Tech for years. Hands down the best banking experience ever. As they continue to grow and change, inevitably there will be growing pains. Most of their services are outstanding and miles ahead of the competition. Occasionally there are imperfections now and then but the Tellers all take the time to get it right for me. I hope I never outgrow them.
Response from the ownerHi Susan - Thank you for your membership! I'm so happy to hear about your positive experience with our tellers. We have had growing pains but we remain committed to improving our member's experience every single day.
