Kachina Knight1I transpose my numbers I contact the bank for 2 weeks straight they could not locate the money. One person located it placed into my account and then it was removed by risk management and now my check should be $25,164 and I only got $10, 000 out of they said it was my fault. Yes I transposed the numbers but I called the day after it was supposed to be posted. And the bank representative told me that if it was the wrong account it would be sent back this did not occur My check was sent on May 27th it is now June 24th. I keep getting the same message we're working on it. I'm so stress out I end up in the hospital for chest pain. But it's not their money it's mine so they just took $15,000 for me. It's bad when every time I call they give me the same person's name and number and nothing happens.

Steven Edwards2I had a very unpleasant experience with First South Financial Credit Union recently. On 2 separate occasions I had money in my account and they charged me overdraft fees. Not 1 or 2 fees. They charged me over 20 separate fees. At 36 dollars each it ended up being somewhere around 1000 dollars. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the woman I spoke with about my issue Sandra was a very nice and polite lady. She went out of her way to help me get SOME of my money back. I was refunded approximately half of the charges that were taken out of my account. The overdraft "privledge" as they call it is an absolute joke. They literally began charging me 36 dollars for every transaction while I had nearly 500 dollars in my account. I honestly hate to mention Sandra in this review because she is absolutely a 5 star employee. When I called her I was irate, having already gone to 2 different branches to discuss my issues with the managers there. By the time Sandra and I hung up the phone she was able to talk me down and I truly believed she would do whatever she could to help me. I no longer have overdraft on my account. The credit union is decent other than their overdraft policy. If you decide to open an account here make sure you tell them you do not want their overdraft protection. You have to opt out of it. They don't ask you if you want it they just put it on your account and they will steal your money like they stole mine.

Al1Getting a loan approved here is not possible. At least thats my experience on two separate occasions. I was working with Katherine, but she never returned one call or follow-up to let me know my status and how I wanted to proceed. Wanted to push other products when I called her. I went back to my old credit union with no problems at all. Therefore, I am closing this account. I guess they bank with "some friends."

Damian Dee1Bank have some good people employed- however-their customer service standards, are well below expectations, as well as poor treatment of their loyal customers. This is bad for business, wouldn't refer anyone to use this bank, organization doesn't value nor, appreciate their customers.
