  My experience with First Home Finance was phenomenal. Angie works VERY hard, as well as the rest of her team. Any questions we had were always answered in a prompt manner and explained thoroughly. I cannot say enough on how helpful they were! Highly recommended.

  Troy Ferrell and his team absolutely the best! He went above and beyond to help us buy our second home. We had already experience what the home buying process was 5 years ago so we knew what to expect but to my surprise their process was much more simple and overall just better. The video updates they send are so nice to see where we were in the process. We ran into a hiccup 2 days before closing and Troy got to work made calls to the right people to allow us to close on time. Troy Ferrell and Aprille DiNovo (ReMax Realtor) are the dream team the communication between them is top notch which is vital in the home buying process. Totally not expected but he came to our closing it was so nice to have him there although not needed it was a kind gesture and very much appreciated! Thank you Troy, Rachelle, and everyone at First Ohio home! I highly recommend them!!

  First Home worked diligently to secure us the best refi loan available, then made closing easy as pie! We were able to complete the closing at home (Pre-COVOD-19) and it took less than 2hrs! I would definitely use them again!

  I firstly want to thank Donna for everything she has done for our family! We where on a deadline to purchase a home and after viewing homes and many phone calls we closed on time. She pull a miracle and worked at a thousand miles per hour. She was never more than an email, phone call or even the odd text away. She explained everything to us clearly and answer every question we had. As first time buyers we really where is the dark about the whole process even though we thought we where ready to go. First Ohio Home should be proud to have Donna on their team!

  When I was referred to First Ohio from Lending Tree, I was approached via email about using them for a home loan. Our initial contact was friendly and "helpful." As the process went on, our agent, Joe Filia, kept calling back with more and more requests for "just one more thing." Since the closing date we hoped for was within 45 days, we became concerned when we were told that we would likely easily qualify for a certain type of loan with a quoted payment estimate, but he was going to try to get a different type of loan with a better payment - we knew that any delay might cause us to miss the close date and lose the contract on the house. I continued sending all the backup documentation asked for, and we heard back that the appraisal was below the sale price of the house, although the comps in the neighborhood clearly showed it to be well within, if not below, market value. Then we were contacted after the loan went to underwriting and were given 6 "options," all of which were at least $100+ more per month, and required significantly different arrangements with the title, down payment, and debt retirement than originally discussed. When asked to email all options, these are what we got. Then when my wife spoke with Joe, he patronized her saying "you don't have all the facts, so let ME go over them for you." He followed this with an indignant email saying he had been cut off by her before he could give her two more options. We asked for ALL the options up front on email - then these two suddenly became viable?! We are doing business with another more professional lender now, and are out the appraisal fee for an appraisal which was apparently uninformed with regard to the current housing market in that area. I can't speak to all the lenders available on Lending Tree, but avoid First Ohio, whatever you do.

  I applied for a home loan Pre-approval with this company. Beth called me twice the first day and never again. I called to check the status and she was not helpful. I haven’t heard back. We will be going with another lender.
