I use to bank here years ago I closed both my accounts out because of problems with ATM machine working and at the time the workers not explaining polices correct. I closed my account thinking everything would be done and over with but that wasn’t the case. A few days ago I noticed on my credit report that I owed 80 on the account and I spoke to Matt on the phone to get it all figured out when I told him I had no idea how that was possible to over draft an account that was already closed he told me he would be able to explain it to me why it happened. He over looked the account and said well this doesn’t really give me much on why this happened at that point I was frustrated and just wanted to pay the account off. Matt told me I could not pay the account off over the phone and had to come in to pay it. Today I went to first federal to withdraw the money that I they stated I owed from their ATM and of course it locked up and gave me a message saying “sorry, this machine is temporarily out of service.” I had to go around and let them know their machine was out of service. Then Matt the guy I spoke to on the phone comes to the window and says there is no way of knowing if money would come out after the malfunction of the machine unless it was audited. Matt didn’t seem pleased that I asked him to audit to make sure since he told me to file a dispute with my bank. Matt comes back to tell me no money was taken out but he was able to take our 20$ from the machine with no problem. Good thing I took a picture of the ATM machine and message or it would look like the machine never malfunctioned. If you’re looking for a great bank who actually cares for your well being and future I recommend going anywhere but here. I now bank with Mazuma bank and the Lee’s Summit branch is amazing!

I used to love this bank. Then they informed me of a new policy where since I accidentally left my debit card in the ATM they have to destroy it and deactivate it. Couldn't hold it for 5 minute while I went back up to get it. The amount of inconvenience this puts on me is absurd. With all of the online subscriptions I now have to switch to a new card for no good reason. I will be switching banks as soon as I can.

      Response from the owner

Well, shoot! We’re sorry to have to tell you this, but we won’t be able to give you a new debit card with the same number & info. Here’s why: Since your card was left at one of our ATMs and retrieved by another ATM user, there’s no guarantee that person doesn’t have your card number and security info from the back of your card. We know that’s a pretty lousy answer, since it’s almost certain that individual was just being a good Samaritan, but we simply can’t take that kind of security risk. It’s not safe for you or the bank. Definitely not the answer you were hoping for and we apologize. However, we can give you a new debit card at any of our banking center locations instantly, free-of-charge.

Went in person for assistance with loan and we were mislead, provided poor customer service, very rude and would not recommend to anyone inquiring about home loan or refinance. My wife & I have pursued what happened to us for over a year and filed complaint with BBB and several compliant with MO AGO. Advised and suggested we contact a lawyer on entire issues. We found out recently when following up for title insurance (title company they picked)- all our transactions and business took place in KS? and the final closing paperwork brought to Missouri for us to sign as we did not want to E-sign. Had we known this was all completed in Kansas and we live in Missouri we would of took business elsewhere. We have now been told to file with KS AGO. This deceptive practice and run around has taken a toll on our health. We requested copy of all signed documents and still have not received all requested documents we were asked to sign and told don't worry about filing in. These particular signed documents were not shared with BBB, MO AGO or CFPB and no signed copy has yet been received by us.. We were only given blank unsigned copies. We have received one document thru our county regarding taxes and it was altered after we were asked to sign. Be careful and read, read, read,. Once we signed no one had time for us or our questions.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and we apologize for your experience. I would like to have one of our Community Bankers give you a call to see if there is anything we can do to assist. Please let us know if this will be helpful, and a convenient time that we can reach you.

I like this bank being so close to the surrounding neighborhoods, but I don't know a lot about it. The one thing I do know is that you should avoid the ATM if you can. It is often disgustingly filthy, and messages to the management about it appear to fall on deaf ears. Instead, I access the ATM across the highway at the Community America.

I was a first time home buyer and was looking for approval and a loan for the home. Chris Miller was very unhelpful and unprofessional. I switched to US Bank and they treated my much better.
