First Community Bank has been an outstanding bank for my business since we decided to move some accounts over to them. Their team is proactive, responsive, and cares about my company. Their leadership demonstrates this by maintaining an awareness of our organization and looking for opportunities for us, where appropriate. It's great working with a bank that knows how to look at the big picture and that understands the needs and complexities related to running a business like ours. I've recommended First Community Bank to other business owners, and would highly recommend them in this capacity for anyone who would consider making a change.

First Community Bank provides proof that some banks still understand the importance of quality customer service. When I visit the branch, I am greeted with a smiling face and a sincere desire to provide a positive banking experience. This desire is proven with quick responses to my questions and excellent strategic advice related to my banking needs. In an age where most companies treat me like a number, First Community Bank makes my small company feel like an important client. The pleasant service provided at the Grand Rapids banch is balanced well with a robust, user-friendly online banking system including an app that makes depositing funds quick and painless. I highly recommend working with the Grand Rapids team at First Community Bank.

I’ve had wonderful experiences with First Community Bank since the moment of our first meeting over 2 years ago. They have been so attentive and reliable in all of our communications and have been a key partner in our business’ success. If I could give them higher recommendation than 5 stars, I would!!

Quite simply, banking is one aspect of life where bigger is NOT better. A long-term, personal relationship with my banker has always been and continues to be a key component of every business and personal decision I've ever made. This perspective has been engrained in me since my childhood. My grandfather and great grandfather owned the bank in a small rural town in northern Minnesota where they knew each of their customers personally. As a result, when it came time for me to establish banking relationships in Michigan, my highest priorities were for my bank to be LOCALLY owned, to know me personally, and for them to fully understand all the unique factors that may influence my financial decisions. In what turned out to be perfect timing, First Community Bank was establishing its presence in Grand Rapids just as I was looking for such a relationship. In fact, I still utilize what turned out to be just the fourth personal checking account they established at this branch location. In the well over 20 years since, First Community Bank has not only handled all my multiple personal accounts, they have also been instrumental in helping me manage the sometimes quirky financial needs of the S Corporation business I own and operate. Most recently, they have been instrumental in helping me understand and successfully secure PPP assistance for my small business. Throughout this time, as my life has progressed from being single... to purchasing my first home (which was also a rental property)... to establishing myself as business owner... to getting married... to raising children... to sending kids off to college... to managing the needs of my aging mother in perpetual care.. to preparing for retirement... the staff at First Community Bank has always responded promptly, eagerly engaged and crafted their expert advice and solutions to my unique and changing needs. First Community Bank is my trusted advisor in the truest sense of the term. The people who answer the phone know me personally. The people who greet me in the branch know me personally. The people to whom I look for advice and guidance know me personally. This gives me incredible confidence as I continue to navigate whatever challenges life or society may bring. The bottom line is that banking should be, and always has been for me, a deeply personal experience. I can confidently and emphatically report that First Community Bank delivers this in spades.

When it came to starting a new business venture in northern Michigan, my partner and I wanted to work with a team that we knew but who was an integral part of the local community. I turned to Scott Seifferlein at FCB who helped get us set up and running. Scott and the team at FCB were accommodating and focused on our needs. The team at FCB will be our "go to" partner for any banking needs as we continue to grow in the future!

Scott and everyone at FCB have always made us feel like they are an extension of our family and our business rather than just a bank with transactions taking place. They've always been very prompt at addressing any needs we've had and have made it very easy for us to make the decision to work with them now and into the future! Would highly recommend working with them!

Customer service and personal touch would be the best way for me to describe First Community. I have had several times where I needed task handled and found they have exceeded my expectations. It's also nice to go to a place where you are always greeted with friendly faces and a positive attitude.

At first I was resistant to switching my business accounts to a smaller/local bank. Now having been with FCB for several months there's no comparing. Anything I need help with there's a fast response for - Phyllis, Scott, Mark, Lisa... they all rock. I even get emails on the weekend sometimes (from a bank??!). The mobile deposit function for my business is also epic - no more trips to the bank with 70 money orders from rents. FCB has genuinely made my banking much, much smoother. Kudos!
