  I was speaking to a loan officer regarding refinancing a $1.3MM loan and we soon concluded they could not match what I already have. I contacted them as they sent me something in the mail. Okay, fair enough. What happened next was stunning. I told the lady (who telephoned me) that I was considering moving $50K into and account I currently have with them and WHY is was I wanted to do so. The line went dead. I suppose she does not care about such things as she's in the RealEstate Division of the compny. Being hung-up on is highly disrespectful. If we were inadvertantly cut-off she could have called back. Nothing. Instead I am here telling what happened.

  I applied for a personal loan. I felt like at a used car dealer. The young girl with glasses who was doing the loan just intentionally misleaded me and I waisted my time because my loan was not approved. She told me that my income would not be considered only after we wasted 2h on paperwork and she ran my credit although l told her the source of income and gave her the proof before we did the paperwork. I felt that her $10 per loan commission was more important to her than telling me strait that I would not qualify which she obviously knew. I got the loan in other institutions. Be careful, they will give you the important info only after they ran your credit.

  I've been a member for years and have had many issues with customer service. I love the idea of supporting local credit unions, but FCCU constantly tests my patience and decision to do so. Their customer service has always been mediocre. The most recent issue I had was when I tried to cash an international check. They cashed it without initial issue, then called me the next day to say they shouldn't have cashed it, and that I would incur major fees for cashing it there. They also withdrew the funds from cashing the check from my account without advising me beforehand. Very unimpressed. I would recommend banking elsewhere.

  Leroy is far most Bestesesesss bank teller! Very professional, welcoming, polite, helpful and has always greeted me like we have known each other for years! Definitely makes me feel like we’re family! Thank You Leroy for all you do! Excellent employee First City Credit Union!

  All the staff here are helpful and respectful. We've been with this bank for three years and have had nothing but positive experiences. I appreciate their flexible Saturday and Friday opening times as well.

  We have been members for 20+ years and have had many vehicle loans and direct deposit. Recently with all the credit card fraud occurrences esp. online both of our cards were compromised within the past 12 months. FCCU claims that "a member with a claim over $500 does not deserve the right to have a card and is being irresponsible with said card" said Keira Rose, Operations Manager at the Pasadena Branch. We deposit around $3,700/mo. or more, had our business acct., child acct., vehicle accts., line of credit accts etc...and now NO DEBIT/VISA CARD TO USE! P.S. they also advertise "member referral bonus" ... I did this and still 2 yrs. later...NO BONUS!

  I can’t believe that this bank does not have customer service on the weekends or after hours. I really neeeded to discuss a very important matter I. Regards to my account and I have to wait until Monday to be able to talk to someone. The worst customer service.

  If you spend any money they flag your card and freeze the account, and good luck getting a hold of anyone after hours, weekends or any time that's convenient

  Good services. ATM always well maintained. Bring either gloves or wipes.
