jocelyn c1They ran my credit score for an auto loan and after told me I was approved but needed 2021 taxes or 20% down since my taxes weren’t completed yet. Offered my bank statements 2020 taxes and proof of business along with the fact I’m a customer of over 15 years. Now I’m left with an extra hard inquiry on credit report and left with the dealership’s apr. They could have suggested possible requirements before running my good credit. Horrible communication. I will no longer be banking with them.

Lux Muse1If you’re thinking of opening an account here, please don’t. Their atms are always broken. Customer service is horrible from management to sales. It takes about 35 minutes to reach some one over the phone.

gretchen renata5I wanted to respond to all the comments below regarding difficulty in reaching a human by telephone. If you are calling from a phone recognized on your account be sure to listen to all the prompts and select the one near the end that asks if you are a Wescom Member (#7) and in my experience, the response time is reasonable.

Daniel Grey1I ask that you do not consider doing business with this bank. An unlawful inactivity fee was used, meaning that for every month of inactivity, ten dollars would be robbed from the pockets someone who had purchased a gift card from this bank. The branch was unhelpful and did not care. Simply put: in California, gift cards cannot expire and inactivity fees can be no more than a dollar a month. They took $80 in eight months. Please, I ask that if you do not want to support a multi-million dollar corporation stealing money from children, you do not use this bank. If you already do, please consider halting business with this bank, and choosing of Pasadena's other local, friendly banks.

Benjamin McCormick4This is my "home" branch of Wescom. It's where I opened my account, and where I do the majority of my in-person banking. Overall, I'm very pleased with Wescom, and find this branch, in particular, convenient, pleasing, and nicer than the rest. The only issues I've had with Wescom are related to customer service over-the-phone (it seems like Wescom service agents are perpetually overextended, resulting in long wait times) and online chat (the agents are more readily accessible than over the phone, but they often don't have the authorization to conduct more involved services, meaning I end up having to call and wait anyway). Over the course all of my face-to-face interactions with Wescom staff (most of them occurring at this branch), I've found Wescom employees to be consistently and exceedingly helpful, professional, and polite. After having visited several other Wescom branches over the years, I can unequivocally say that the Pasadena branch is superior to the rest in ways both practical (super easy parking, short waiting times, number of on-duty tellers) and abstract (a hushed atmosphere, plenty of space/open design plan, the calming sound of trickling water when entering and exiting). This branch and its staff make a typically mundane task just about as pleasant as it can be.

Christopher Abbott5Been a member for over 10 years and been way happier than I ever was with any of the big banks. If you are within a reasonable distance from a Wescom it's a great bank to have. Their ATM network is nationwide and I never have a problem finding one.

Being that I was a signature member one of the perks was that you got 500$ courtesy pay finding out I can no longer be a signature member because I used the perk makes no sense why offer a service if you’re going to take it back due to the fact especially in these times when it’s covid and a lot of people are being effected financially.

Mario M2ATM ONLY REVIEW: I'm not a member of Wescom, but I am in another credit union. I tried to use the ATM at this location. It's a nice well lit area at back of building next to the parking structure, away from the street. There's a pleasant step fountain nearby. The ATM is a little funky. Instead of sliding your card in along the long axis, you slide it in along the short axis, so that the words are facing you. Unfortunately after entering my PIN, selecting withdraw, the account, and the amount, the ATM finally tells me that there would be a $3 use fee. I've never been warned of nor charged a use fee from another co-op network ATM. I cancelled the transaction. That's pretty lame.
