First Citizens' Federal Credit Union Administrative Offices Reviews

chris prause1This company is not what it once was. Customer service has tanked and it seems like management just doesn't care. Issues that should be quickly resolved (credit disputes, overpayments, paying off loans in advance) require multiple phone calls or showing up in person (fun stuff in a covid environment) just to be resolved. 24/7 support is also unavailable meaning your emergency has to wait until the next day. While it seems if you post a poor review someone from marketing will reach out to help rectify the situation, it's unfortunate that it even has to get to that point. I've closed out my account and opened one with Pawtucket. I've heard good things about Navigant as well. TL:DR: They're fine until there's a problem but there are better banks to support and bring your business to.
Response from the ownerGood afternoon Chris. We are saddened to hear about your experiences with First Citizens'. We welcome the opportunity to resolve any issues or bring specific instances to Senior Management. You can always email [email protected]

Felicia Marks1I made an over payment and have been going back and forth with them for well over a month to get my money back. First they said they have no record of the payment so I got a trace from my bank and all of a sudden they saw it and tell me the check had been sent out and I should have received it. Since I had not received it they cancelled it and were going to resend it. On the phone with them again and the representative says she has no record of it. I would not recommend using First Citizens Federal Credit union for an auto loan if you do not bank with them. They also made making additional payment on your loan near impossible and charge outrageous fees to pay them.
Response from the ownerGood afternoon Felicia. We sincerely apologize for this experience and would like to rectify this as soon as possible. Can you please email [email protected] and we will connect you with the right department to help you.

Maria Godena1Update: The team reimbursed my late fee’s and handed over my title. It’s too bad I had to post a review to get a response but appreciate they took the time to follow up and make it right. Not all companies will do that. Had an auto loan with them. Paid on time for nearly 5 years when all of a sudden they stopped auto withdrawals. I tried calling but was placed on a 50 minute hold! I finally went online and decided to set up an account to pay off my loan. I then get a bill in the mail for a $5 late fee. I called twice to try and get it rectified (they said a third party set up the auto withdrawal and the date ended???) they denied my dispute. I was really disappointed with their decision and will never go through them again. After paying on time for so long, this was an obvious clerical error I had no control over.
Response from the ownerGood afternoon Maria. We are so sorry to hear about your experience. Could you please email your contact info to [email protected] so we can have someone reach out to you in hopes to rectify this situation? Thank you for your many years of business.

Katrina Tibbetts5I had a really pleasant phonecall experience with chelsea I think her name was. I was on my work break which was only 15 minutes. She worked very fast to help me with my situation. And she was very kind, & helpful with a very blooming positve personality. I love encounters like that. You could tell she truley cares about people and her job. I hope she gets to see this review

mrcaknowles1I am a 68-year-old Vietnam Era Veteran. This credit union heavily advertises their "Hero" accounts for veterans. The benefits are extraordinary. Unfortunately, they seem intent upon making sure that no veterans can sign up for them. I applied a week ago for a checking and savings account and neither have been processed. Not only that, but they say it is "my fault" as the physical address which they requested is "not recognized" by their computer system and my P.O. Box address, which the IRS, Social Security, the U.S. Copyright Office, three credit bureaus, and the Department of Revenue of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts recognize as my "legal" address, is unacceptable to them. I've got $10,000 sitting in my checking account not earning interest because of their administrative ineptness. And my Social Security checks, which I was going to have directly deposited and earn 1.35% to be deposited in my savings account, are not earning me any money!

Frank Dodero1They worked with me real earnestly, right up till the loan was about 70% paid off. Then they took the car at 4am when the loan was approximately 1 month late. No info given on how to restore the loan. Just took the car and never heard from them again. Probably would have put no stars if it was an option

Stefanie Troy5I am a long time customer with First Citizens Bank. Many years. I live in Eastham, Massachusetts (Cape Cod), and my home branch, closest to me is the Orleans Branch. I have noticed in the past year, or so, the changes that have gone on in this particular branch. Approximately, 8-9 months ago, all of a sudden, all of the girls I knew, whom worked there for years, all disappeared at once. This was surprising, seeing as all customers knew them by first name basis. I do know, as a fact, that they all left, because they were unhappy with the atmosphere going on day, after day. They were all close, worked excellent together, and decided to all leave together. This is very distressing. As of recent there was a young man, by the name of Michael, whom was made assistant manager. Then, a new employee came in from a local bank, Citizens Bank, Orleans. Now, she is made manager, and Michael, bumped down. He was a fantastic personable guy, and very knowledgeable of the banking business. Lately, there seems to be no help. I was always a no wait at drive in window, and now, I have to go to atm outside instead. There is a woman that floats from one bank to another, as a fill in as needed. I see her all over the Cape, and she always greets me with a happy face. She has worked with First Citizens for 22 years. Her name is Bridget Maleady. Yesterday, she was the only teller I could see there. She is such a fantastic, nice, helpful person I have ever met in my banking years, and goes out of her way to help with anything needed, no matter how busy. I needed new checks ordered, a register to track my checkbook, and to deposit monies. She did all of this at the drive-in with no fuss,or complaint. I was in and out of there, within minutes. I am always happy to see her, no matter what branch, I happen by. I would like her to be acknowledged somehow, someway, for her repeated wonderful service, always. I hope the Orleans branch can fix up somehow, someway. We also have our solar loan through you. I have 2 checking accounts, and savings also with First Citizens. Please also give Bridget a double A+, for not only me, but also the many other customers who so much appreciate her. Sincerely, Stefanie Troy

Brandon Decoste1Absolutely the worst car loan company I’ve dealt with customer service is awful. The wait times to talk to a person is ridiculous over 20 minutes to speak to someone is insane if a negative review was a thing it would be -5 ive had over 20 auto loans and this is the last time I’ll ever use them
