First Citizens Bank Reviews

Bryan Lail1Not shocked to see all the many other bad reviews this and First Citizens banks are garnering these days. HOWARD, a supervisor for this branch was the most accusatory, disrespectful man I've ever engaged in a professional dispute with. I have moved on from First Citizens since December and instead of parting amicably this company decided to flip the lights back on and harass me for a $100 advance I supposedly received for a charge that took place on a CLOSED account. I have spent months calling support only to be directed to a local branch, going to a local branch only to be directed to a branch three hours away from me, call after call after call. Hours of my life that are worth FAR more than this $100 charge. This led me to HOWARD, who instead of presenting proof of this ridiculous charge, attacked me while trying to paint a picture of me as a delinquent who always had late charges even though in the same breath he tells me I always took care of them. I owe you and your company nothing sir and how dare you assume ive done anything in my life but pay my debts. This archaic corporation and its sad, dead-inside employees I'm sure are not far from being replaced by modern banking institutions and good riddance!

Donna Adams1This review is NOT for the branch in a whole, but for one individual employee. Tonya Mann is the most disrespectful First Citizens employee I have ever met. I have tried to contact her supervisor and cannot find a contact for the Morganton location. I ask for a simple transaction and it ended up being the most difficult process. She was rude, very unprofessional, and extremely inappropriate. She showed facial expressions that would a grown woman should NEVER use. I’ve heard her yell at other employees and roll her eyes at other customers. For someone who is serving the public she should work on being more respectful to the customer. If there is someone I can contact to report her that would be excellent. Tonya Mann needs to be reported and replaced.

Betsie Dalrymple Peter1UPDATE: So, Now it's a few days later; I have tried to call again and again; no human is available at both the customer service main line or my local branch. What is with this place? I only have a car loan with this bank. I have never done any other business with them. I have excellent credit and always have. I am a good banking client. So far I have tried to call this branch 3 times in the last 40 minutes and all I get is a voice mail saying the woman is not at her desk. With COVID, I can't imagine they are overwhelmed with customers in the branch. Deplorable customer service. The customer service line also has a very long wait time. I only want to get some assistance setting my account up online. I do not recommend this bank at all. Go Elsewhere!

Amber Smith1Horrible customer service!!! They offer overdraft if you ever need it.....but God don't use it more than twice they charge $72 PER overdraft and they cut off your debit card also. Really really outrageous fees and they don't share these policies with you when you open a account....they just offer the overdraft and forget to mention the rest and it's not in the info book either.

William Sweger1Not customer friendly. Tried to buy some coins and they didn't even look before saying NO and not trying to help us. Won't go to this branch again even though we are members. Just need to treat customers more professionally and show some interest.

Crystal Novak1This place I would never bank at my caregiver went here and they were charging her $72 per overdraft fee. I'm thankful for Wells Fargo for they have treated me so good since 2006.
