First Bank of Ohio Reviews

Latiquea J1All I can say is Read the reviews.....its a life changing. I wish I would have looked at them before I take my auto loan from them. They have high interest rates for cars that's has over 130,000 miles on them straight rip off. They work with the dealerships that rip people off. If you run across a car lot/dealership with this bank walk out of the door... you have been warned

t j1Zero help, bad attitude, angry because I paid off a loan early even though I paid an early payoff fee. Waiting for a release of lean for weeks and can't get a response. I sold the vehicle and the new owner is driving on my insurance because we can't get what we need.

Robert Kratz1DO NOT deal with this bank, absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a loan!!

Chelsea Pinson1Absolutely run from this bank! Terrible everything! I have no idea how they stay in business

vincent salas1Terrible bank. Called several times to sort out a late fee. Was consistently told the system was down, finally someone called me about the late fees and they had grown like weeds. The woman who called was very friendly and ontop of it, called the following day to double check everything was settled. Late fees still applied (they said after 12 months they might drop them), whomever I spoke to was unprofessional and simply rude with an attitude in her voice. I just wanted a reasonable resolution to the late fees, avoid this bank if possible. Their reviews from everywhere online from the BBB(1 star) to CRA (bank needs improvement) are pretty bad. If I had known this information before my loan, I'd have gone with another bank that charged higher interest.

Kellie Becher1How is this bank still in business? Can't reach anyone to talk to, and when you do talk to someone they are rude and mean to THE CUSTOMER. I'm just trying to pay off my loan and get out from under this bank. Wish I would have read reviews before accepting a loan from them. I learned that lesson the hard way.

Aspiring Author1I met the hiring manager once, through an interview- one time was way too many. She was rude, acted very entitled, and acted like she was part of some extremely prestigious bank. When I voiced my concerns over very real dangers- such as precautions taken during covid and general precautions the bank uses I was told that she quote “has lived here her entire life and for me to even question such a thing is preposterous.” the bank looks sketchy on the inside and on the outside. That street isnt the safest either- I lived there for about a year and it gets scary after dark. She has way too much entitlement for her employees to be wearing rainbow zebra print on the job

Shannon Sebera1I would not recommend this bank, We had to pay 200 to the bank for an early pay off. After paying our loan in full, we received a letter in the mail and a phone call telling us that we owed money and were accessed a late fee for non-payment. When we called to get this addressed, we were told that our last monthly payment that was made was "rejected" due to a routing number being entered wrong. We checked with our bank and the money had been withdrawn and refunded. They said that the money could not have been pulled from the account if any routing info was incorrect. In talking to a bank representative again, we were told it was an error in their system and several peoples payments had been rejected. I calling the bank managerand asking him to call me back. I also emailed him with our issues and asked him to contact me by phone. Each time he responded by email and would not talk to me. Long story short, this bank will take you for all that they can and feel it's appropriate to charge you late fees for their system issues. We will not be using this bank in the future and I would not recommend it to any one!
