I have been a credit union member since 2010. I do not use the credit union because of the business practices. I have a loan that I am paying off and that is the only reason I keep the account open. I keep my checking account balance at 5 or less. I log in one time a month if that to pay on my loan. Recently I received a refund check from a car warranty I canceled, and I deposited the check into the credit union. This was the second check I have received from a refund associated with the sale of a car from the same company. I went to log in a month or so later and could not log in my account to pay on my loan. I tried to reset my password. I spoke to 4 contact call center representatives. They even sent me a temp code via email. I still could not get in weeks later. I dread the interaction with the contact center. Today I figured they must have my account blocked since I still cannot see my account. I called and spoke to a representative today and she confirmed what I thought. My account was blocked by collections. I was over drawn by 689.17. From the check I deposited on May 26,2021 that was returned June 1,2021. I did not receive any notice or any phone calls. The rep stated that they mailed me a letter June 21 to an old address. Which would be 20 days after the return. She stated they account was set to charge off in 3 days and go to Chex systems. I was unaware that I was over drawn since I only log in 1 time a month. This feels like a set up to close the account I keep 5 in each month. Collections put a block on my account that 4 reps did not bother to tell me about when I called. That was the reason I could not log into the account. The block prevented me from seeing the negative balance and impeded on the opportunity to fix the negative balance. I know that was by design because they did not want me to fix the balance so they can close the account. I do not have a branch anywhere near me in Texas. The only way I could fix the balance is by transferring money in the account from other banks that I use. The rep I spoke to could not get the collections department on the line. I was not aware I had a returned check from a company that sent me a refund. Is the check really returned? Or is this an attempt to close an account a barely use? If you are charging off why not the loan balance also? I do not and will not pay any balance on any account I cannot see. This all is a shady practice of FedEx credit union. Especially when I haven't had a returned check in 2 years. I need to set up arrangements, dispute the validity or speak to a collection’s member. At this point I cannot spend my whole life arguing with the contact center. I need a resolution. Or you can send the loan out also so I can settle the debt with an outside agency. Either way I need to be contacted so this can all be over. Thank you.

      Response from the owner

We apologize for the trouble you've had. First, our new online access system should clear up the login issues you had. The new mobile app makes your account information really easy to access. Also, for less used accounts, or accounts you don't check on regularly, we recommend setting up account alerts to send you warnings of low balances and or account activity. If the problem isn't already resolved, please use the contact form at fecca.com/contact-us/ and paste this message in the content field. We'll see if we can't resolve this for you - without you needing to wait on the phone.

The best customer service of any bank I've been to. All of them are very professional, informative, really helpful, and very polite. By far the best credit union for any FedEx employee.

      Response from the owner

Being dedicated to FedEx employees, retirees, and their family members allows us to better serve our members. Thanks for the review.

I’m in and out every time I go there. One of the reason I choose a Credit Union over a big bank.

      Response from the owner

We're glad you like what we do. Thanks for being a member.
