  This was our first time purchasing a home so we were pretty lost on where to start and what needed to be done. That is until we met Nate and his team at Fairway Independent Mortgage. Nate was very knowledgeable and understanding. He was always answering our questions at various times of the day and made us feel like he had our interest in mind. Nate made the buying process very smooth and less stressful compared to when we first began this journey. I would say we were lucky to have Nate as our Loan officer. He was on top of everything and his communication was excellent. I will admit I expected a lot more stress due to so many moving parts but Nate honestly made our home buying experience not only pleasant but easy. If you are looking to buy a home or maybe even refinance I would give Nate a call. With his positive “can do attitude” and professionalism you would be missing out if you don’t give Nate and his team a call. It was truly awesome experience I can emphasize it enough.

  Desmond was very thorough and informative. He answered all the questions and took his time to re-explain something that was not understood. Although in a time crunch, desmond and his team pushed through the process and made the loan happen in order for me to get the house i wanted. I would recommend them to anyone

  Super unprofessional, don’t know what they’re doing, last minute fees, branch manager is hard to get a hold of and unprofessional, loan agent is a con. Super nice to you and when they messed up they go MIA. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

  Justin and his team are highly recommended!!! They are very knowledgeable and will explain everything you need to know if you are confused with a loan process. Justin helped us get a loan for our first house that we just closed on. Justin does everything he can to make sure u get a good deal on loan etc, but also makes sure you dont dig yourself into a hole while in the process, he basically makes sure you can afford the amount etc. They respond to calls, text and emails very fast. I would definitely recommend Justin and his team at Fairway for your loan needs.

  Long story short, because I've posted this on the individual lenders page, if you have the means to use a bank just do it. You will get lower rates and the loan will not be sold multiple times within the first year. My FIRST piece of mail at my new house was that my loan was sold to a new company and this is after I fought with them to get a rate which compared to my local bank which I qualified for. I wish I put off my closing and went to the bank. I thought being a repeat customer would have perks. Nope.

  Matt at Fairway was wonderful!! I can’t recommend enough. I’m self employed, a first time buyer, and had the desire to keep closing costs as low as possible. I had 1001 questions and he was patient and thorough. Matt made the whole process way easier than it could have been, and we closed on the house so quickly! Also, if you’re a young female solo homebuyer, you know how constant the crazy sexist remarks are—Matt was never like that, he was EXCELLENT, 100% work with this guy!

  Everyone I had contact with was pleasant and helpful. The whole process moved quickly and efficiently. I contacted Mr. Ladd the end of October 2020 and had my closing on November 18, 2020.   In 2013 I bought my home through Fairway Independent Mortgage. We were a first time home buyer and not familiar with the process. Fairway quickly pushed us into a house for $20,000 more than the house was worth. Instead of hiring a local appraiser, they used an appraiser from Wyoming who just used Zillow and sales of other homes in the area. A few years later, we had the home appraised and discovered that Fairway sold us an underwater mortgage. To make matters worse, they quoted a 3.5% interest loan, then the week of closing called us to tell us that it jumped to 3.75% and there was "Nothing they could do". Fairway was not worried about this. They simply flipped the toxic mortgage to Wells Fargo, washing their hands of the entire issue. This behavior should be criminal, but is still legal -- though highly unethical. I HIGHLY suggest avoiding Fairway. If you are a first time home buyer, do not trust them to help you with a mortgage. Go directly to another financial institution.
