      Like the other reviews below, poor customer service. I was trying to ensure my funds were transferred from the IRA to Roth account before the end of the year and it’s been over 16 days and the money has been taken out of my account but not put into my Roth account. You cannot call Ellevest, you can only email, which is extremely concerning if you choose to invest with them I really loved the idea and goal of Ellevest but, please do yourself a favor and do not invest with them, it is really poorly set up and causes more stress than anything.

      Very impressed when I read about the ideology and women support. But at this point after 2 days of interaction with opening an account etc, feels like it is not real. Just another company with no customer service. Do not know at this point whether it is going to get better or worse later. I hoped that Ellevest would have matched to their image projection as I was looking forward to this with a lot of expectation.

      Go elsewhere - like all the other reviews have said, their level of disregard for customer's needs is staggering. I bought into the hype after hearing their founder interviewed on a podcast; I wonder if she's aware of the atrocious reviews of this place. This isn't a nail salon, it's somewhere where we park (a lot) of our money, and their inability to answer emails or address customer concerns is appalling. Not only did they send me wrong tax information that would have resulted in a much higher tax burden than if they had gotten their numbers accurate, they have yet to answer any of my multiple emails asking for clarification. And the number listed doesn't let you talk to a human. I've had to resort to commenting on their Instagram to try to get someone at this god-forsaken company to pay attention to me. Think about that: your *bank* won't answer your emails and doesn't have a phone number for you to talk to a human, so you have to span their *Instagram*...and it still hasn't worked. I'm moving my money out of here literally today. I've never seen anything like this from an alleged financial institution. If they can't be trusted to answer your emails, they certainly shouldn't be trusted with your money. I would give them zero stars if I could.

      Had to call ellevest. Someone from there firm had gotten into my acct when I did not have a ellevest account. I had to change my account numbers. Spoke with ellevest thought they were genuinely concerned. LIP SERVICE ONLY. Was assured they would look into the matter and contact me back. They did not. I called them. Still waiting for a call back. Something is crooked somewhere. Don’t know if was ellevest or not but they do not seem to care to tell me how someone from there company got access to my personal bank account Andrew netusil

      A SCAM! I have tried to cancel since January, and they have taken my money month after month, with no end in sight. I have been attempting to move my Roth IRA to Fidelity since January, yet every time I contact them they state that they are still waiting on paperwork. I am so frustrated. This operation should be shut down.

      Very poor customer service. For some reason you are not permitted to update your phone number on the app; you need to speak to a representative. There is no other option. However, all calls go to voicemail. Emails aren’t responded to. To transfer money back to your external bank account requires text verification. There is no alternative method. So my money is currently being held hostage due to inability to update my phone number. I previously enjoyed this app but this is a huge red flag to me and I’m not sure I can trust it anymore. Edit: I got a return email that said “we still need to speak with you on the phone.” After some back and forth they offered to call me today. On a phone number I provided them. So that I could tell them my new phone number. 🤦‍♀️ And of course they called while I was on the line for an unexpected work call. I emailed and asked them to call me back. They said they were very busy and would do their best to respond “in a few business days.”

      Have been trying to get in contact with support for a week. I've sent multiple emails to both support and careerhelp to change the billing on my $500 career coaching session and there has been no response. Left a voicemail as well. An unnecessarily stressful experience with no end in sight.

      I was completely disappointed with Ellevest, and I will no longer be attempting any investing with this company. I had set up multiple deposits and none of them went through. One large deposit was pending for almost a month. I have been emailing and calling, trying to contact customer service now for a week, and no one is getting back to me. I had to pay a membership fee and I am trying to get that refunded since I was not afforded any of the membership benefits that I was promised. 0/10 don't waste your time or money with this investment firm.

      This investment firm is HORRIBLE with customer service. My automatic withdrawals from my bank to Ellevest were wrong. I could not get a response via email, so I scheduled a call. Ellevest NEVER called me. I continue to fight this, after 2 weeks. This is my money. There is no excuse for this. I am sure this isn't the vision Sallie Krawcheck had when she began this company. I have never had such issues with a bank or investment firm before. Pick ANYONE else. If I could give NO STARS I would.

      I've tried multiple times to sign up for Ellevest, and it always feels like I'm talking to a robot in customer service. I uploaded an entire bank statement only to be told they can't verify me? Yet, I was able to link that same bank account successfully. Seems like you either have a great experience or just shouldn't bother. Edited to respond to the response: Totally fine, but no explanation why the documents I uploaded (which were correct and were all my banking info) were insufficient is confusing and frustrating.
