I called and left a message early this morning for a loan officer. No one returned my call. So I went in person at 12:30. No one acknowledged me for over 15- 20 minutes whill I sat there waiting. When a loan officer came to help me they said because I wasn’t buying a car from a dealer I would have to pay a 2% higher rate because of that. I have perfect credit and income. We never went to pull credit because I asked about rate 1st, thank goodness. I got up and went directly to another bank and had fast service and no issues and no such BS such as because I wasn’t buying it from a dealership.

ECU has really gone downhill lately. I have financed two RV's and a $10k personal loan and have always paid everything on time and in full. I have an excellent financial history with ECU but this last visit for a loan was a game changer for me. I ended up walking out on the loan pre-screener because she couldn't process anything outside of an algorithm and allow me to speak to a real loan agent to negotiate a better percentage rate. They wanted 4% higher interest on my new loan request than what I paid on my last loan of the same amount a few years ago. They absolutely refused to come down on the interest despite my excellent financial history with them. I ended up walking out and I will find a better lender. This place won't get any more business from me.

They literally told me that they “didn’t have time for both my deposit and a small cash withdrawal in the drive through”. Seriously? You don’t have time for my business or want my money? Despite a recent update, their bill pay system is absolutely archaic. They still mail checks! The system doesn’t inform you that it’s a check rather than an electronic transfer, nor does it suggest you allow extra time. It just asks for your due date. Then checks arrive late and you incur late fees. They will blame it on usps but I have had checks mailed by educators consistently arrive 2-3 weeks late for bills. None of the bills I mail from home have this issue.

Terrible customer service at front desk. Asked a simple and understandable question and was laughed at by a very rude lady at the front counter! Called before I came and was told coin machine was working and came over to find out it was broken! Not the only time I have been inconvenienced by this bank.

I love being a part of this credit union. I've had only good experiences(!!) in terms of customer service, and it's wonderful not to have to be invested in the shady activities of the monster banks. How about be invested in our own community instead? Yay credit unions!

I've been a member for over 15 years and called with questions about a loan. The receptionist didn't want to transfer me directly to the loan officer so she kept putting me on hold when I had a question. Much was lost in translation and ended us transferring me to the loan officer anyways because the real life game of 'telephone' was becoming apparent. When I was finally able to speak to the loan officer she was very rude and short with me. I have a good loan history and have been a member for several years... I was at least hoping to talk with a polite and friendly person, even if they can't help me with my loan. Perhaps Educators Credit Union needs to send their employees to customer service training? (Please give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful.)

Worst bank to have your money in. I didn't like it. Too much hassle. It's more simple to use chase,BBVA, wells Fargo bank. They have better customer service and more options to manage your money.

I have been a member since the early 1980's. I have always been treated like family and have had no problems. The online banking app and website is something I use and enjoy every day.
