Had a great experience with bank manager today. I ran into an issue with ECU over the phone with a person named Rosa where I was misinformed about certain mobile banking functions, and the bank manager was knowledgeable enough to know those functions which helped direct me in the right direction. Thank you Zuley

Called for an Auto loan – bought a car through CarMax on Sat afternoon and got CarMax financing. Had 3 business days to ‘replace’ the financing (i.e. use another bank & payoff existing without issues/fees) I had a loan for a different car through ECU previously and had a great experience so I wanted to use them again. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with ECU for years and this new car loan was no exception. Jennifer was SOOO helpful – knowledgeable, incredibly excellent follow through, explained everything clear and concise. She was very pleasant, personable & open/honest. The loan itself was over 10% less interest then my original (this part depends on your credit though too) which is so great in itself, but the customer service I get through ECU is stellar – this is SO valuable and want ECU and Jennifer to know what an incredible I think they are doing! THANK YOU! Also, this location has always had friendly, polite people quick to help.

The representative (Tim) made the process of getting a new card real painless and easy. He even let me wait in the building for my ride so, I’d be comfortable.

I think ECU forgot the main customers who use their drive-thru. Parents with kids, and people like me, with handicapped family members. The drive thru services now are so limited, why even bother putting them in? I do not like using an interactive teller. It takes twice as long as a real teller, and only half as valuable, because they can't do all the transactions I used to be able to do...something simple like a roll of quarters for my garage sale. I think this move was purely for Educators benefit, to cut down on labor with total disregard to the customer. Seriously...give me one good reason to use this over a real drive-thru service? You don't even extend your hours, now that you've automated more. I won't even go into no chance of getting milk bones for my dog, now, like other banks do. Keep in mind, without the customer, you are nothing.

Educators credit union is the worst establishment I have ever worked with. If you value your money and sanity at no cost accept a loan from Educators. 5 years ago when I was going to college I got my student loan from them. They gave me a loan at 8.9%, and when I was 18 and fresh out of high school I did not know any better plus they made it seem like that was a normal rate. Now that I've graduated in 4.5 years from college I had to change my professional path and go straight into a job instead of getting to go to graduate school, which I needed to get to practice what I went to school for. I had accrued $20,000 in interest alone. Now that I hold a full-time job not in my field they told me they do not offer income based payments or any relief with the crushing 8.9% interest rate even though I have never missed a payment, and have good credit. My monthly payments are about $650 for the next 20 years! Needless to say I will be refinancing my loan.

While we no longer offer our own in-house education loan program, if you have any other student loans I would recommend seeing if there is a possibility of consolidating the loans through LendKey, which is available through our website.

Yeah, the idea of no tellers and that you can only get you bills back in certain denomination is reason enough for me not to return. They think this is the best set up and that people love it. It normally takes less time with a real teller. Wait until you have the wonderful experience of the machine handing out the wrong amount of cash. This is a great idea, but horrible execution on the part of Educators! The branch in Sturtevant is the same way. If this is the wave of the future I may just keep my money under my mattress! Peace

I've been a member for over ten years. The loyalty payback they gave me was 6$. They are supposedly nonprofit yet my student loan interest rates didn't reflect that.

I was excited about one opening closer to me. But there is no night drop box and no pens. When I make a check deposit I can't sign it. I have to go inside and use the indoor machine to deposit but I have a kid with me so will make the extra drive to the other one

I have been with Educators Credit Union for a long time but this branch does not have any tellers staffed here. Only Interactive Teller Machines(ITM).
