  This business is the place to go for all of your needs. They have very reasonable prices and the customer service is outstanding. They have been in the business for over fifty years and I have found and purchased many wonderful things at this pawn shop. If they don't have what you're looking for, they will find it for you. If you need a quick loan they will help you out with just about anything of value and give you cash without having to go to the bank with a check. The jewelry selection is unsurpassed and you should look there before going to a retail store and paying to much money. They offer jewelry cleaning, repair, and sizing at a reasonable price for a fraction of the price of retail stores.   With the city of Augusta being sold out of TV’s and gaming consoles due to COVID-19, my family made a last minute stop here with high hopes... and we are so glad we did! The staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly, my kids and myself were treated as VIP, and last but not least we left with both items we went in for (and more). Quality people and quality business.

  I am from Paducah Kentucky and am working in this area. I like visiting pawn shops as a hobby. This store was super clean and organized. Most pawn shop owners and staff are usually rude to most people which I never understood. Anyway this place was awesome! A giant of a man named Ralph I believe (sorry bro if I messed that up) greeted me as soon as I came in. He was easy to deal with and talk to. Just an awesome guy to be around! He gave me a great deal on some DVDs and an old expensive RAILROAD WATCH. I will be back soon and am telling all the guys I work with about this place. Oh by the way they have anything you’re looking for and can get it if they don’t!

  I can't imagine a review being any more inaccurate than the previous one posted here. The owner of this store is one of the kindest, "old-fashioned" service-oriented guys you could ever meet. Their selection is great and my experiences there have been outstanding. The world needs more honest brokers such as Downtown Pawn!

  I had a really great experience doing business with them. It was a pleasure coming in and returning. I definitely will recommend them to other's! Very nice guy's. I didn't have any problems, smooth transaction! While one was doing one thing, the other is doing another!!

  Its ok i guess. Definitely gives you no where close to what's paid for gold. I understand being in business to make money but its no top dollar as it says on some of their signs. Other than that its not a bad place and the owner and all is pretty nice and easy to talk to.

  I have conducted reviews of Pawn Shops across the country, looking for the best deals, quality, professionalism, and their demeanor. When doing deals at pawn shops a few things come to mind. Is the merchandise stolen, is it real, and is it a good deal. I have conducted the same research as I have of every other pawn shop I've ever done business with. I am pleased to say that the staff and owner of down town pawn is professional, curtious , and takes great pride in thier craftsmanship. These guys understand the true meaning of being professional pawn brokers. The staff always takes it to the next level to insure that any and all merchandise is authentic, real, and not stolen. These guys are the best of the best. I will continue to conduct my business while putting my trust in the guys at Downtown Pawn, and so should you!

  I've walked in twice with quality music equipment from my studio and the guy has turned me away each time without even looking at what I have. Disrespectful and ridiculous in my opinion. He has pictures of guitars and drum sets etc but he's not interested in a Condenser Microphone. Any musician would be interested. He needs to just get in the Gold business if that's all he loans on. Or maybe learn more about what Musicians use to make music nowadays.

  My fiance and I got his wedding band here. The staff was very kind and helpful! Before we went here, we went to Big Dog Pawn. An identical ring at BDP was 3x more what Downtown Pawn charged us. I definitely recommend!
