  Don Deibler and his team at Severn Bank exemplify all that can be great in a banking relationship, and why we go out of our way to seek out small, boutique firms to do business with. Personable. Knowledgeable. Accessible. Responsive. Our expectations were exceeded at every step of the process, including a last-minute challenge to an on-time closing that Don was able to hand carry through the final steps and solve in time. Communication was fantastic, we always knew what the latest was. The mortgage process can be stressful enough, this is the sort of group you want on your side as you navigate it. Being licensed nationally, we would recommend anyone contemplating a mortgage in the future contact Don for advice as a first step.

  TLDR: Highly recommend Don Deibler for his professionalism, communication, and support through the home buying / loan process! Full Review: Don Deibler was exactly the right person to walk me and my wife through the process of getting a loan for our first home. As a self employed person, my file was a particularly challenging one, requiring a massive amount of papers and processing to ensure the loan. I had worked with a lender prior to Don, and the experience was SO different. That lender was completely unwilling to put in the leg work to help me get that loan. Now, I am a happy homeowner and I couldn't have done it without Don and his team! Don walked me through every step of the way and ensured I knew what needed to be sent at each milestone. Highly recommended. Don is very professional, personable, and communicative!

Instead of turning us away, Don was willing to exhibit undying patience and support. He gave us the steps towards financial literacy, and walked us through what we would need to do in order to be prepared for our next big steps.   Don was amazing through what is generally a stressful process, especially for a first-time home buyer such as myself. He answered all my questions fully and in a way I understood, and consistently checked in to see if I needed anything from him or had any questions. He always answered calls/texts/emails promptly and made himself available (I needed my loan approval letter on a Saturday and he got it to my realtor without delay). He also seems like just a genuinely nice guy, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a lender!

  This was my first home buying experience and I was referred to Don Deibler by the realtor I was working with. I cannot imagine a better experience than the one I had working with Don. He was extremely knowledgeable, organized, pleasant, and patient at every step throughout the process. He made everything very easy to understand and made himself accessible outside of work hours to help answer questions and keep the process moving. I really appreciated the way he took the time to explain different financing options to me and kept me informed throughout the process. Thanks to Don, we were able to secure the financing almost two weeks prior to settlement. He worked seamlessly with the realtor and other parties to the transaction which provided me great peace of mind as we approached settlement. Don and his team provided an unrivaled level of personalized service and I would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone who is looking to buy a home. Updated Review - Refinance I first had the pleasure of working with Don Deibler when purchasing my first home about a year ago. Don proactively reached out to me about refinancing when rates dropped and was able to save me a significant amount on my monthly payment and considerably lower my interest rate. As usual, Don was extremely patient and accessible throughout the process and we were able to complete the process in about a month with minimal effort on my part. I will gladly refer him to family and friends in the future.
