Gina1After maintaining a money market account here for a couple years and being satisfied with rates and fees for the most part until the very first time I attempted to use my debit card to make a down payment on a vehicle. I called a head to let them know this debit would be taking place as well as the bane if the business and the exact amount I was told the approval would be in affect until midnight that night. In one hour we went to process the payment and it was declined. For the next 1.5 hrs we attempted with the financial debt to process different amounts, numerous times while on the phone with Dessert Financial customer support and they could NEVER figure out what was wrong. At 6pm on a Friday night and hours spent attempting to make my down payment to no avail I was told to bring in a cashiers check the following day since DFCU could not process my payment. When I passed this information on to the customer service representative she replied "Okay, Good. Is there anything else we can do for you?" I was very upset at her response. NO, it wasn't good or okay! I explained I would be coming in the next day to withdraw my funds and her response was simply that she understood. Very disappointed! They prevented me from bringing home a new car which I gad spent 2 days preparing for and planning on bringing home that day and wasted hours of my time and the financial deposit time attempting to simply make a debit from an account where I had ample funds and was not attempting to withdraw anymore than what was approved prior to attempting making the charge. Must now make another 100+ mile drive for a 3rd day to go get a cashiers check so I can pick up my new car. Horrible!

Mary Brennan5Lynn helped me tremendously. She was patient and non-judgmental when I explained my issue with another bank. We seemed to be friends at the outset. She apologized for the problems I was having but never voiced any opinion with regard to the issue. She asked pertinent questions and did not assume what I needed/wanted. I am very pleased I made a change and look forward to continuing business with Desert Financial for years to come.

Barbara Novick5I love Desert Financial.! They train new employes to an excellent performance standard. I really like the branch at Walmart on Southern. It's so good to have a credit union one can get service from on a Saturday afternoon.

Joan Hershewe5Can't say enought from Brain on the phone to Avalon at the branch at 6131 E Southern Ave., Mesa,Az " OUTSTANDING" customer service. I was hack on my computer to my bank and credit. Brain was quite to stop any tranactions and helped me to breed, beathing with me to calm me down.Thank you so much Brain. Then I went to the branch, Avalon helped set up new accouts, new cards, new checks. She went above and beyond to make sure all my accounts were secure. I can't say enough about Brian and Avalon, they are a great asset to your company. Thanks to the quite action the hackers got "NOTHING". You should be very proud of these two people. Highly recommend desert Financial. THANKS AGAIN.

Cesar1I used their ATM to get money for Christmas stockings and needed change. Four $5 dollar bills. There was no line so I asked. The gentleman working at 11:00 am (there were only 2 people working) spoke to me and was very short with me. " Do you have an account with us?!" "Because we can only break your 20 if you have an account with us." Well that answered my question. Merry Christmas Grinch. I'll never bank with you now.

Debbie Hansen2ATM at Southern is Greenfield often doesn't work without explanation. Previously it has been unable to dispense cash for no apparent reason. I generally get $40-$60. Why can't I get this small amount? This past weekend, when I went to deposit a check, the ATM said "TRANSACTION IS NOT PERMITTED AT THIS ATM", despite being well under the $20,000 deposit limit. No explanation of why it wasn't permitted. Very stressful. So I had to wait until Monday to call, and was told it's probably full of checks but will probably work now. Probably. To be certain, I took time off from work to go deposit a check with a teller. In other words, don't expect to get cash or to deposit checks outside of the general working hours of M-F 9AM-5PM.

Kelly Jackson1Branch manager Leighton runs a location thats has inconsistent service of other location . While cashing a pay roll check issued by Desert Schools the cashier said she could not cash my check casie it was post dated. After they had already just befor cashed my coworkers without any issues or comments to him. I then waited to speak with a supervisor and was told by the first person that even though they did first check she was not the cashier so she cant do my transaction. Then when asked why theor location chargers a check cashing fee even though other locations wave the fee. Leoghton said irs so he could provide consistent service to everyone but still wouldn't cash my check. How os that consistent.

Megan L1DO NOT BANK WITH THEM! They do not care about the safety of your information or money. They literally let some older crackhead lady go in and do stuff to my sisters account AFTER she had already called and cancelled her card because her wallet was stolen! And there’s a HUGE age difference between my sister and the lady who clearly was not my sister nor looked like her ID picture.... so clearly they’re careless there and don’t check very well before letting anyone just get into someone’s account and take money and get new cards.

Alexandra Hale1My husband and I went to Desert Schools, Walmart, Superstition Springs location, to refinance our Jeep. We worked with a man by the name of David, I believe he is the assistant manager. At the time of arrival, David had checked our credit score and said we were approved for the 90 day no payment if we refinanced with them, so we had agreed to go through with the process. A few weeks later, we went back to sign the final paperwork for the refinance... once we were in the middle of signing the forms, my husband noticed that the first payment was due after 45 days. He told the lady, by the name of Maria, that David said we would receive 90 days of no payment. Maria told us that Kevin did not pass the credit score requirement, which David had informed us that he had. Maria then told us that if we could prove his credit score was high enough, then we could still receive the special refinance deal of no payment for 90 days. We gave them paperwork, proving that Kevin had a score of 720 with 2 other credit bureaus, they later came back and said it wouldn't work and that we would have to fix his credit report with the union that they use to check credit scores. Long story short, my husband and I are HIGHLY dissatisfied with this branch. How can you get approved for a "special 90 day no payment" then at signing, no longer be approved? Sounds like a scam to me.
