  My son has autism and we recently went to a local CACU to open an account for him. Your employee that helped us, Christen, was AMAZING! She was so kind and patient with him. She always spoke directly to him instead of looking at us for answers! She is single-handedly the reason we switched out bank account to CACU and now have a second loan through them!

  VaLori was so nice and helped my daughter and I open a new account and welcome us to the area. We felt very relaxed throughout the entire process. Such good customer service in an era where customer service has gone by the wayside.

  Community America, owned by its members, has been a great banking institution for our family since the 90's. We appreciate a bonus for using the services each year and are very pleased with customer service, mortgage loan, ability to deposit virtually, etc.

  Truly horrible experience with the mortgage department - I thought a local credit union would be a good choice to work with but this has been miserable. The other day I emailed my agent for an update and he had completely forgotten about my application - like if I hadn't emailed him he would have never gotten back to me. They also can't be bothered to call you with important information, instead you get an email ten minutes before shift end the day before a holiday. Worse than trying to work with Chase, and that's saying something. All this after initially working with another agent that was blatantly rude and dismissive, and requesting a change. Although, to be fair, these two guys apparently sit next to each other, according to my second agent, so maybe there's something else going on there.

  i've been a CACU member for over a decade! I have loved CACU in the past but am sad to see the changes that are being made. I loved having real people at the branches and now you have "machines". The people on the machines can not do the same thing real humans. Super disappointing to see you trying to be more like a bank and not stay true to the way CACU has always been!! If you don't have more to offer than a "normal" bank why would people choose you? I hope to see you go back to providing exceptional customer service with people!

  I applied here for a loan to buy my first house, and this people didn’t approve me because I was a little under the necessary points to be approved, but nevertheless I submitted the same application in BANK OF AMERICA and this institution approved me. In this moment, I’m living in my new house purchased through Bank of America. It’s a myth, not a reality, that in CACU it’s easier to be approved for a loan, nor is it true that the better interest are obtained, because my percent interest in Bank of America is 2.5%.

  They do not deserve even one star but obviously the minimum option is that. I started my refinancing process with this COMMUNITY AMERICA CREDICT UNION thinking that they were good professionals, thinking that they offered good rates of interest etc, but for my unpleasant surprise a disaster occurred in this process. Initially I received good treatment but when it was time for the appraisal of the house and I saw that the appraiser did a bad job (since I have previous experience) I opened a formal dispute to this institution. As if they didn't care, instead of initiating the process of investigating my complaints that were directed against the appraiser, the companion Claire O 'Grady (my mortgage loan advisor) had the unprofessional attitude to justify, protect and benefit everything done by the appraiser. Thinking that this could have another answer more attached to professional ethics, I decided to talk with her supervisor, called Kriss and this was even worse, for example, this man even, in the conversation was able to affirm that it is totally correct for an appraiser to ask the owner of the property in question, photos of a place to be measured instead of going personally and taking the correct measures and photos necessary to develop a complete, comprehensive report and as closely attached to the reality as possible. This supervisor, I repeat, called Kriss, affirmed that is normal and acceptable that this kind of things happen in these cases, for what I decided, in addition to other elements of similar strength, not to continue with this Credit Union because among other things they claim that they cannot request another appraisal process despite that I was willing to pay again but if they were looking for a company of good reputation and experience or at least an appraiser of prestige and professionalism. The agents Claire ’O Grady and her supervisor, if they represent what the Community America Credict Union generally constitutes, this institution, (even if that is not there general policy, mission and vision) once prestigious for me, should definitely not be trusted by its active and future members.
