Writing this after being a member for 3 years. Best experience by far. I'm apart of multiple credit unions. This one has a great customer service. Great mortgage program. Super fast processing as well as super fast about personal loans. I got my first mortgage with them. And when I needed a new roof they gave me the financing right away. I just wish they had a branch in every state

      Response from the owner

Thank you so much for your wonderful review Jasmin!

The Mandarin branch is Terrible..!! There's an Asian loan officer at the front of the bank that is very rude, and could care less if you do business with them or not. He made it extremely clear to me that he will hold my personal checks for as long as. he wanted to. Stay away from this place.

      Response from the owner

Definitely more for the people that like to physically go into their bank. The online services of Community First are atrocious. The functionality is super limited and its just really dated. If you have an issue, you'll have to call and while the people are helpful it always takes about 30 mins to solve a simple issue like a password reset. These guys are nice, but in banking I don't care how nice you are. I want great rates and ease of access. Community first has neither of these.

Workers inside are rude and judgmental. The ATM outside is overrun by caterpillars

      Response from the owner

I do love where I bank and proudly say it is at Community First Credit Union's Mandarin location. Ali, Aida and the rest of the team are outstanding! Always greeted with smiles and friendly prompt service. I choose not to do direct deposit so I can stop in there to see them every payday. If you are trying to decide where to bank, pop in and see for yourself. You too will soon love where you bank.

      Response from the owner

Thank you so much for this stellar review, Sam!! We'll be sure to share your kind words with the Mandarin Branch!

First off i would like to say I have been a member for a long time. This is my favorite branch to bank with. All the wonderful tellers and banking staff are fantastic and helpful with all my strange needs. They don't even give me nasty looks when i show up 5 minutes before closing... The management is always kind to answer all my business questions. I really enjoy walking in to all the smiling faces several times a week and actually having a conversation with someone. Keep up the great work!

      Response from the owner

What a rave review! Thank you so much for taking the time to give us 5 stars, James! We'll be sure to share this with our staff at the San Jose Branch! We're so glad that you #LoveWhereYouBank

Linda, I know exactly what you mean. I have been with them since they were educational credit union. 20 year member here. My story is too long for here but in short, the manager refuses to see customers who request to see the manager because she is "too busy" yet the loan officer who doesn't know what she is doing is basically relaying every question I ask to her manager then giving me the answer. So what could have took 15 minutes in the middle of my work day, took 45+ minutes. This happened on three occasions. After mounds of frustration, with being told something wrong by the asst manager and spending several visits trying to get them to correct it, I finally got the manager's email and emailed her to please clarify my situation and update me, she never, ever responded. Even after my complaint to Jim loveless (VP of branches) and him acting like he would handle it. She never returned my email or apologized for poor service and now they put her in a commercial. Moral of the story is, treating customers like you are too important to care, gets you a promotion. This poor customer service is becoming their MO. They hire people young to pay them less and don't teach them anything about customer service. I tried to open an account for my teenager and they want to verify who I was by pulling my credit!!! I have 2 open loans with them and I'm sitting in the branch and you need to check my credit?!? Whomever is in the ivory tower making these rules obviously doesn't get it. Everyone should close their account here and show them that people matter. They are starting to act just like Bank of America and Wells Fargo. All of their branches are getting bad. In short, entitled, fake, criminals. They have forgotten they are a service based business and have gotten too big for their britches. I'm currently working on transferring my loans and money to a different CU.

I went in to start an account today and Ali was extremely helpful and kind. She explained everything clearly and made it very easy to understand. I would highly recommend other people come and join this bank.
