  11-07-19 - Editing my review to include my latest interaction with Colten Mortgage: This is my second time using Colten Mortgage. The first time was during my initial home purchase about a year and a half ago (see previous review down below). This time I did a refinance with them. I should note that I wasn't even looking to do a refinance, but they reached out to me and said it might be worth doing due to the drop in interest rate. I was pleased with their service previously, so I figured it was worth at least looking into. I worked with Jon Hoffis, and he was awesome! He answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, and he laid out all the information clearly and succinctly so that I could make a proper decision of if it was worth refinancing right now. Lets just say that it was totally worth it, and he helped save me a couple hundred dollars per month, cut my PMI to less than half of what it originally was, and also helped me get some money back into my bank account.. It was a win win situation. The worst part for me when applying for a loan is all the paperwork involved, and yes there were things I had to dig up and a bunch of signatures I needed to provide, but Jon and team were with me every step of the way to help make it as pain free as possible and make sure I could close in a timely manner. I can't say enough good things about Jon Hoffis and the Colten Mortgage team! I hope I have a chance to work with them again in the future, because they make everything so simple! Thank you so much! Previous review for initial home purchase: We just purchased a brand new home through Colten Mortgage, and all I have to say is the entire process was AMAZING and STRESS-FREE. Andrew Dort answered all of my questions (even the ones that might have been kind of silly) and made sure that I understood all of my loan options and the benefits and drawbacks of each. I also never had to worry about what documents I needed to provide at what time, because Andrew and team were on top of things through the entire process. You are in good hands with this company! I would definitely use them again in the future if the opportunity arises, especially if Andrew is still around. Thank you Colten Mortgage!

  Jim Stuart was the loan officer on one of the toughest loans I’ve ever seen as a REALTOR. He had the patience and the foresight to stick with it until we closed. When most lenders would have washed their hands of this file, because of Jim, this sweet couple and their family are moving into their first home.   This company is fantastic. I had a great experience working with Corey Tressler. He made the process absolutely easy for me. He was down to earth but also very professional. He was always available, day and night to answer my many questions. Extremely knowledgeable, patient and easy to talk to. He explains everything thoroughly. I will definately recommend this place.

  Having been a realtor for 4 years now I have dealt with a lot of lenders and I have to say Andrew Dort and Colton Mortgage have been my favorite. They don't give you the run around or promise things they can't do. They are honest and helpful. They don't need to blow smoke because they have been able to help with almost all of my clients needs. Andrew has also been a great help to prepare our clients who are not quite ready to buy to help them get ready to buy in the future. Sonya Thomas the loan officer assistant has always been helpful and very responsive. In general the whole Colton mortgage team is wonderful to work with.
