  Collin is an expert on Veterans Administration (VA) home loans and very knowledgeable of the real estate market in the San Diego area. He worked very closely with us to figure out how much of a home we could afford, got us through the underwriting process early, and got us through closing without a hitch.   Collin was an amazing loan officer! From the very beginning, he was very attentive to what our goals were. He always explained everything very well and in easy to understand terminology. Whatever questions I had, he always had answers. He ensured an easy and speedy pre-qualification. He was able to provide pre-qualification letters ASAP every time we put in an offer on a home. He would research the homes we were interested in and found the taxes for the property and any Mello Roos or special assessments. He would then run the numbers and give us a super accurate estimate of the monthly mortgage. This allowed us to know if the purchase would be within our budget. He guided us through a very volatile housing market. He is always monitoring the interest rates to ensure you will lock in on the right time. He called me in the middle of our escrow period and told me his prediction model indicated there would be a significant rise in interest rates the following day and encouraged me to lock in our rate that same day. Sure enough, the next day the rates surged and continued for the whole week. He ensured we locked in at the right time! He also explained the process of buying down our rate with the proceeds of our current sale. He ran comparisons with different rates and showed me the break even point where we would start to save money on a monthly basis on our mortgage. He was never pushy with anything and made sure that we were comfortable with all of our decisions. Collin made the home purchasing process a whole lot easier and gave us ease of mind having him in our corner. I recommend Collin 120%.

  Collin was great to work with throughout the whole home buying process. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get a home loan. As first time home buyers, it was all very daunting. Along every step of the way Collin was very thorough and willing to explain every document/decision in a very detailed manner.   Collin was absolutely wonderful. He was very detail oriented and walked us through purchasing our first home. We had no idea what we were doing and Collin was patient with us and explained it in terms we could understand.   Simply a wonderful experience for a first time home buyer. Collin is clearly an experienced professional in this field and explained each step thoroughly as we went through the home buying process.   I was introduced to Collin Clifford through my real estate agent and he was very happy to help. He helped me navigate the VA loan process by letting me know how much can be funded by VA especially since it was my second VA loan. He got me and my wife pre qualified and was patient with us through out the house hunting months. When we finally found a house we were able to close within two weeks, and with great rates. I'm sure the closing will have gone much faster if I wasn't overseas.

  I have to say thank you so much to Collin Clifford and American Pacific. Collin made me and my wife dreams come true getting our perfect dream house. My name is Devin M. Davis and I am an US Marine Veteran and after I retired from the Marine Corps, I felt I was ready to use my VA home loan to purchase my first house. I was a first-time homebuyer with very little knowledge after talking to Collin a few times I felt more ready to move forward. I am super lucky to get referred to Collin by a classmate of mine. When our credit union was not willing to do any work and even call me back Collin came through and worked every day to get the loan, I needed to get the perfect house I been looking for the whole year of 2020.
