  We attended an introductory workshop with Rodney and it turned out to be a very wise choice. The service, knowledge and recommendations we received were extremely helpful and well worth the costs. He understands the college process and offers advice based on successful experience.   I've only been in the comprehensive program for a few months now and both my wife and I believe we've already received our money's worth. Rodney has counselled us extensively and has gotten us to think, and more importantly, plan for our kid's college education. This doesn't just mean saving money. Prior to engagement, we were going to wing it ... bad idea. Rodney has opened our eyes to all the many considerations, complications, deadlines, tools, tricks involved with college planning in a now, very technology-based world. To have seasoned experts guide you through the many processes is key. Personally, my wife and I do not have the time to research all the information and planning road maps Rodney and his team have developed and leveraged over the years. Like anything else, unless you are well versed and up to date on college planning / processes, it's usually best to hire those that are. Additionally, my 'team' of advisers are very flexible available to meet. So far, we're very happy with the services and advice.

  When you don't know what you don't know, the college selection and financial decisions are beyond daunting. Based on a friend's reference, we interviewed Rodney and two other college planners. Rodney and his team offered the most services for the price. After a few short visits, we learned so much and knew we made the right decision! As time went on, the money saved, the scholarships earned, and the appeal won, made Rodney's services MORE than pay for itself.   The choice of saving for college is a simple one. However the correct savings method and timeframe, and the process for choosing schools that are affordable, suitable, and exciting to the kids requires professional knowledge. Rodney Godwin clearly has it and knows how to tailor an approach for each family situation. I know because we have had multiple meetings where he has explained college aid as it exists and college admissions the way it is practiced.   Rodney's college planning service has been stellar all around. This includes the financial planning, picking the best schools for our kids (that they have the best chances to be successful at), and also helping them study for the SAT-ACT tests. The SAT prep course was very helpful and was a big part of helping our daughter increase her score about 150 points. Recommended!!

  Rodney and his team were invaluable! They helped us to see the overall picture of the college education, how much it cost, helped us plan for being able to pay for college for three kids in the most optimal fashion, walked us through narrowing down and picking a major, finding the colleges that we qualify for that have that particular major, helped us find the colleges that my child would have the best chance at a scholarship and/or grants, and the list really just goes on and on. Rodney was there any time we needed him. He answered phone calls and emails faster than anyone I know. Very kind. Very patient. And very knowledgeable. I strongly recommend working with Rodney and his team to plan your child's education. It's definitely a good investment.

  We met with Rodney following one of his free seminars with Godwin Planning Solutions. He provided great counsel and information both at the seminar and at our meeting. If you're looking at spending tens of thousands of dollars on your child's or children's education in the next few years, I would strongly recommend attending one of Godwin Planning Solutions' seminars and then meeting with Rodney following that to determine how you can significantly reduce that cost.

  Rodney was incredibly helpful (and patient) in walking us through college selection and funding options. Based on his insights, our daughter was able to target an out of state school that offered competitive scholarships and ultimately cost us less than attending NCSU. We wouldn’t have even known what we were missing if it hadn’t been for his program. Working with GPS was definitely a good investment!

  Rodney, at Godwin Planning Solutions, is an expert at navigating the college financial process and is a source of invaluable information. His ancillary test prep services and helpful timelines are a valuable part of his offering, too. He's helped tremendously with both our Senior and our Junior as we enter the college application phase. It's well worth an initial consult, and I suggest the sooner the better to make sure you have time to plan ahead.
