  Rented Mol Sea with hopes of having a great family vacation! This was our first and last experience with Coastal Vacation Resorts! We could not check in until 5pm due to cleaning with Covid-19, however when we did check in the house clearly had not been cleaned at all. There was trash in every room of the house! The floor was absolutely filthy! The ceiling had clearly been leaking for a long time and looked terrible. The plaster was literally falling from the ceiling! There were live and dead bugs! I went to use the restroom and had a very large bug staring me in face!!!! Luckily I always bring cleaning supplies with me!! We were provided with the wrong wifi information! The back bedroom smelled as if someone had urinated in it. With the late check in I didn't want to interrupt our vacation with yet another delay and interruption so we did not call! We decided to clean, make the best of it and move on with our vacation! Needless to say a Hurricane interrupted our vacation and had to vacate due to a Mandatory Evacuation!! When we contacted the office they refused to give any type of refund!! We asked to speak with a manager, emailed requesting to speak with a manager and have yet to hear from a manager!! We spent a total of 3 nights in this house and paid $1,700 for the week!! I would love to know if the owners of this house actually know the way it's being managed. Because I would hate to know this was my house and it wasnt being taking care of properly!!! This company is an Absolute JOKE and this will be the last time with deal with them!

  I am the homeowner of LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. We wanted to share our most recent five star review because we are so happy with the care that Coastal takes care of our home. We have been using Coastal for the three years we have been renting our home, and have been treated like family by every member of their team. A copy and paste of our latest review follows. "My wife and I have been frequent OKI visitors for several years but this was our first time staying at Love at First Sight. We could not be more pleased with the condition of the house and the closeness to the beach. First, the house was extremely clean. Secondly, the beds were extremely comfortable and most importantly it was such a close walk to the beach. The front porch views were amazing! We were able to have grandparents to our twin boys join us on the trip and having separate living spaces for us and them was perfect. The owners of the house were available to answer any pre trip questions and were very responsive during our trip. Thank you so much for making your house available for us to rent. We hope to be back for many more summer vacations!!"

  I have left multiple messages for someone to contact me at coastal vacations with no response. My vacation was canceled due to hurricane isias, and I am out almost 2000.00...I did purchase travel insurance, but was told by coastal vacations I could come at a later date, so I did not need to file a claim with travel gard. Five months later and haven't heard a word from coastal vacations.If you can't make it right with me, that's fine...at least have the courtesy to contact me and let me know. WELL...ITS A WEEK LATER since I left my review, and I have left 3 messages for someone to contact me at coastal vacations and I haven't heard a word....no call back or email from them.( Notice they encouraged me to contact them in their response to my post). Well...that tells me a lot about their character and integrity....😒

  We had a great experience with Coastal Vacation Resorts. The entire process from making our reservation online to picking up and returning the house rental key was the easiest vacation rental we have ever had. The house that we rented was 100% accurate in the description on their website and it fit our needs perfectly. We will definitely be renting from them again (hopefully very soon - we love Oak Island!).

  We stayed at ANGEL FISH (a beachfront home) on Oak Island for a week. If you are the owner of this property, I would use a different rental agency! We rented from COASTAL VACATION RESORTS. I called several times after the hurricane to cancel our reservations....even before the island opened up. We were told we could not cancel and if we did we would forfeit our down payment....half the fee for the rental. When we arrived there was only one exit/entrance.....sooo no fire exit; there was at least 10 feet of sand in front of the house. Soooo....no beach access. They should have informed us of this. We rent beach front because of direct beach access, so we don't have to drive to the beach, so we have our own bathroom and don't have to use the porta-toilet and we don't have to pack our chairs and cooler to the beach. Also, our master bathroom sink was clogged, and they kept telling us it would be fixed and it wasn't. We had paid almost $2500 for this house and we left on Wednesday night. This was the worst vacation we've ever experienced. If someone knows the owners of this rental, please let them know how this agency....COASTAL VACATION RESORTS handles their property.

  We booked our beach vacation this year with Coastal Vacation Resorts Oak Island. I was a little worried because we had never used them before but let me tell you they are AWESOME!!!!!! I will never book another beach house without using these guys. The whole staff made you feel welcome, sweet, friendly, and at home.Thanks for a great vacation and we have already booked next years vacation.

  My son rented from this company for his honeymoon. He's in the Army serving in Korea. Just getting home to get married with Covid was hard enough, but then his fiance got very very ill where they had to decide not to go on a honeymoon and stay near doctors. Coastal Vacations would not only not show any mercy in refunds or credits, they wanted to charge $90 more for a change fee to another family member. I've used Coastal several times in the past, but they will not get another penny from me!

  We've had better rental companies. Had 7 lightbulbs out. The maintenance man replaced 2 after we asked, but said he was coming back some day with the specialized bulbs and didn't. We requested ant traps for ants in the kitchen, but never received them. Company never returned phone messages; we had to speak to them directly for correspondence.

  We were unable to inhabit our beach rental home due to Tropical Storm Isaias. Coastal refuses to refund our $250 damage deposit because they are angry we consulted our credit card company for reimbursement. We did not request damage deposit reimbursement from our credit card company because that is Coastal's responsibility. Be aware that their travel insurance carrier (AIG/Travel Guard) is running months behind in claims processing. Coastal staff provides poor customer service and were also rude to my husband.
