  I cannot recommend all of the Clinton Savings Bank branches, enough, especially the Boylston Branch. I was the Co-Treasurer of the Boylston Elementary School PTO for 3 years and became very familiar with almost everyone who worked there. They were reliably friendly, helpful, and welcoming, always asking how they could help us out/give back to the community. It had that "Cheers" feeling when you walked in, and I was really struck by how much they genuinely cared. In March of 2021, our town was rocked by the news of the sudden passing of one of our beloved teenagers. The entire town pulled together to support the family and one another, but Clinton Savings Bank went above and beyond to help us remember a special person taken too soon. Having a prior close relationship with the bank, the family asked if I could start the process of a scholarship fund in the teen's name. Remember, this was in the thick of Covid, when banks were seeing clients by appointment only as gatherings were extremely limited. I reached out to the bank and received *immediate* assistance from both Michele and Steve, who were able to make the Matthew John Phillips Scholarship Fund a quick reality, so we could add it to Matthew's obituary. Many grieving hearts wanted to remember Matthew in a way that mattered to his family, and CSB was able to make that happen. This was no easy task; we knew we had to create a non-profit, had lawyers to meet with, and that a scholarship fund has a legal trail we didn't have the time to immediately navigate. Clinton Savings Bank helped us to create a temporary account, took the time to meet and guide us through the process, and explained our next steps. We just recently acquired our non-profit status, and both Michele and Steve jumped through hoops to help us make the transition. They also offered to support our upcoming fundraiser in any way they could, from sponsorship to manpower. To say they really care is a genuine understatement. When you think of what makes you love your town, rarely does one think of a bank! Clinton Savings Bank earned their place in all of our hearts; they truly care about our community and the people in it. They are part of what makes Boylston special.

  “This week we had the unpleasant experience of check fraud in our primary operating account at Phillips Precision. Clinton Savings Bank’s fraud department thankfully caught it right away and locked our account to mitigate further risk and returned the funds. An occurrence like this can cause chaos to any business, however Michele Hazelhurst and our local Boylston Branch helped us recover very quickly by creating a completely new account, cards, checks and deposit slips as they continue to monitor activity. No small feat. I’m confident we would not have received this support from a national bank.
