Stormborne Innkeeper4They are a wonderful local banking choice. The only drawback is I've been trying to ask about getting a home loan for a first-time buyer. I have asked about it 3 different times but have never received a call back about it.

David Paul1I understand the Covid restrictions- and accept that Wauna is about on par with the DMV and the SS Service. When I finally get a live person to help me figure out the "e-statement" varification code on the phone so I can get the multiple month statements needed by a mortgage company- problem solved? No. I have to go in, in person and have them printed out for $$. That is over the top. We run multiple accounts with Wauna usually over a 10k balance and have for over 20 years. They need a healing...and it has nothing to do with Covid.

Beau faylor2I don't know what's happening with this bank but they're losing the small town feel that people went to this institution in the first place, trying to be a big bank losing their personal rapport. Not to mention also besides that fact if you make a payment over $500 to your credit card they freeze your card and tell you you have to call if you want to make a payment that big. And don't apologize for freezing your card when you go to use it. They change my account settings at their own will, i have had to call several times to have them change it back to where I had it at for automatic payments.

Cobra Commander1They seem to be taking full advantage of COVID at this branch. If you are lucky enough to find the lobby unlocked during regular business hours you better have an appointment (because COVID can't be transmitted if you make an appointment). If you don't have an appointment be prepared for the two tellers twiddling their thumbs at the counter (in the empty lobby) looking at you like you're the monkey from the movie Outbreak because you didn't notice one of their countless signs warning of the impending apocalypse.
Response from the ownerHello - We are temporarily limiting branch access to appointment only. We have not reduced hours, and really are trying to keep lobby access the same as it has been. Until last month, our lobbies were open without appointment, but due to the national labor shortage we were forced to take the action to restrict access to appointment only. If you don't have time to make an appointment, you can use the drive up video teller units, which connect you to a WCU employee. They can conduct almost any transaction that you can do in branch. Several of our branch and back-office employees are assisting there, which is likely what the employees you saw through the window were doing at the time. We're actively hiring, and hoping to open the branches again as soon as we can.
