We decided to take advantage of a promotion Chase offered, rewarding new customers with a $200 bonus for a new savings and $300 for a new checking account when we met certain (relatively simple) criteria for 90 days. We brought a fairly large CASHIER'S CHECK drawn from a local credit union to open the accounts (and meet those criteria). The next day we received scores of texts and emails welcoming us to Chase, one of which included a schedule of their fees! OMG! The only thing they DON'T charge you for is the air you breathe while standing in their long lines, apparently. A few days later I looked online at the accounts we'd opened and noticed there was a NINE DAY HOLD on the funds we'd brought certified from another institution. The banker that opened the account even told us she was going to have to call the credit union to verify the funds of the cashier's check -- yet still a NINE DAY hold!! Okay, whatever. One of the requirements for the checking bonus was to set up automatic deposit within 60 days. We set it up that same night and immediately got an email confirmation from our employer. Normally our paycheck hits our credit union on Thursdays, but with Chase we had to wait until Friday (apparently they hold it an extra day to suck a little more interest from us). But when Friday came, the direct deposit appeared in the account, but with another HOLD on the funds! We've got bills to pay, but Chase says they have to hold on to new funds for three days! WHAT?? It's a direct ACH deposit from our employer's bank! (Processed on the banking network of the National Automated Clearing House Association, an entity established by the US Federal Reserve) How much more secure could those funds be!? (Is this just another tactic to siphon a few more days of interest from us?) When I called to ask about this, the phone rang and rang and finally a message said their tellers were too busy with other customers to take my call and to CALL BACK LATER -- no option to leave a voicemail or patiently wait in a queue (this happened 2x over two hours before someone finally picked up on the third attempt). Contrast this experience with the one I had at our credit union yesterday where I'd written a six-figure check drawn on a business account from a relatively obscure bank in New Jersey where we were earning 1.55% interest (compared to Chase's .01%), to the business account at our local credit union. In less than three minutes the teller handed me my receipt and said, "Here's your balance and the funds are available now." I was shocked! I said, "No way! There's no hold? How'd you do that? You were able to suck the funds from the other account into this one IMMEDIATELY??" She just shrugged and said, "yep, pretty simple." Plus there are virtually no fees at the credit union (regardless of balance), they pay higher interest on all their deposit accounts and their interest rates on loans are much lower than banks. We've had accounts at Chase for less than a week now and already I can hardly wait to close them! *UPDATE* To Chase's credit, when we were finally able to withdraw the direct deposit funds, they were EXTREMELY friendly, called us by name and made us feel right at home. Consumer advocate Clark Howard often refers to Chase and other banks like it as "giant, monster, mega-banks" who care far more about their own bottom line, than actually providing a service and helping the customers who create that bottom line for them. He urges his radio listeners to instead patronize small, community banks or credit unions for fewer fees (like the $12/mo checking fee Chase is hitting us with) and more personalized service, where your business is genuinely appreciated. We've always used credit unions, but now, having experienced first-hand the tactics giant, monster, mega-banks use with our money to benefit THEIR bottom line, we can't figure out why ANYONE would bank with them!! Are people just so accustomed to being taken advantage of by their banks they just don't know any different?

I was pleasantly surprised at this branch! I walked in rather upset about 2 overdraft fees that were charged by mistake. The manager and one of the bankers got me taken care of in a very timely manner, this is an awesome chase branch.

KEVIN WOODS. DO NOT SEE HIM. I had a student account with chase and after 5 years they charge the monthly fee. I'm still a student so I've been charged it for like 5 months so I went in there and changed it back to a student account and then asked if I could get back the charges for the monthly fees because I have proof I was always a student. He said he'd see what he could do for me but probably not. So then he asked me if I wanted to close out my old account so I wouldn't have to do it later and I said yes. He closes it then literally right after it he says "I can't change those charges now because I closed your account sorry." And I look at this paper he gave me and my account isn't even closed yet because I have a pending balance on it. So he 1. Manipulated me and 2. Lied to me that my account was closed. Totally dishonest guy. Manipulative. And dishonest he knows my brother and sister and tried to be all nice to me while he totally screwed me over. DO NOT SEE KEVIN WOODS. Rosa Albarran on the other hand is AMAZING. She was kind and instantly helped fix my problem when I came back in furious with what Kevin did. My account was not closed (like Kevin said it was) and she was able to reimburse my fees. I recommend going to her every time you come to this branch. She is the only reason I gave 2 stars. If I could leave a separate review on Rosa I would give it 5 stars.

Didn’t have my money ID for a deposit. It’s understandable, they said I could do it using my app but they didn’t help with it ?! I’m closing my account next week just because I still need for this week. Chase has been horrible.

Don't call about the ATM! You'd think it was owned by Wells Fargo the way they answer questions about it. Not their problem and here's an 800 number. Even was offered to come into the branch for a personal banker to call the 800 number for me... well done, Chase, well done.

Adam Crapo is by far the best banker I've ever had to work with. I went to Provo location to set up my business bank account and apparently it was set up incorrectly because I had some issues with it today. I decided it would be best to go to a different location as I didn't feel like I was receiving proper communication and instructions at the Provo location. Adam went the extra mile to get everything sorted for me, he's friendly and a very informal guy that changed the way I think about chase bank. Fingers crossed I don't run into any other problems but from my experience today knowing I have Adam to fix any errors I feel extremely relieved. Highly recommend working with Adam!!

Kailey helped me open my account. I was very impressed with how helpful she was with helping me. She explained everything very thoroughly. I appreciate her patience with me and my questions and my accent. I hope that everyone who I work with at Chase is as helpful as she was, so that I stay happy about my choice to change banks. Go Kailey!

Had a great experience setting up a business checking account with Adam Crapo. His experience and attention to detail caught a mistake I made on some paperwork and saved me from a real pain in the neck. I appreciate his hard work and dedication. I will definitely be returning for my future banking needs.

Chase is a great bank, but this branch isn't the best. The counter is quick to help and friendly, but the loan officers and personal bankers are quite slow and seemed almost reluctant to help, especially when it's almost closing time.

Worst!! If I could give them no stars I would! Very rude. And never fully staffed and give you attitude when you have something that takes longer than 2 mins to do or they feel is an ATM job or a night drop job. Their customer service sucks. They take forever. There have been several times when I was waiting in line for over 30 mins. And then pushed to the side to help someone else because my business takes too long. And they all walk around like they have sticks up their butts! Would never get a personal account here. Ever!
