      Unless you hate your money, I'd avoid Centra. They've got a lot to learn about customer service. A single phone number, and after five 15-minute attempts this morning....not a single live person. I don't beg anyone to do business with me. This is why I have never switched my primary banking to Centra. I'll stick with L&N Federal Credit Union. I've never had these issues with L&N. I encourage Centra leadership to pick up a phone and try the customer experience themselves. If I were King, heads would roll. UPDATE (3 days later): After "Response from the Owner", "We are experiencing longer than normal wait times at the moment". My previous comments still stand. "I encourage Centra leadership to pick up a phone and try the customer experience themselves." I still haven't gotten past the phone automation. I would never use Centra as a Primary financial institution.

      Every bank promises customer care and appreciation. When problems arise they do not work with you. Centra does, and will treat you like a friend and your help keep money worries minimal. Love my centra.

      Terrible experience with them with my auto loan. I didn't have a choice as I took out a lease through a Car lot. Once finally receiving paperwork, I was able to send proof of insurance. One month later they took out a year-long insurance policy for over $600. Despite my insurance company reaching out 3 times and even speaking with a Manager, they still have not removed it. I have been to the branch twice and my insurance company has sent information now 3 times. Tried customer service and spoke with a Loan advisor Tama who was extremely rude. Not only did she give me the wrong information on what I owe (since I paid everything except this bogus insurance off in November) but she interrupted me multiple times saying the same thing and just kept putting me on hold(including one time without warning while I was in the middle of a sentence). Worst customer service ever- and I still don't have the issue resolved. Avoid them at all cost.

      Worst bank. Terrible customer service. Tellers have no knowledge, completely apathetic, and always direct you to their phone system which means AT LEAST 30 minutes on hold. Really, do yourself a favor and chose a different bank. We've been suffering with this bank for several years now only because we're too lazy to switch everything over. My family is currently contemplating a move to Illinois and I'm not even joking that when we made a pros and cons list...NOT having to bank at Centra Credit Union any longer was on the Pros list. Update: I've spent over an hour on hold today now. The automated system now hangs up on you after 20 minutes. I've sat through 3.5 of these sessions today. I have a debit card that expires next month. They conveniently turned it off before it was expired and when I call to turn the new one on, Like most services at Centra, it says this service is not currently available. There are 3 options you can choose when calling the number, 2 of the 3 ALSO say they are not currently available...So, as usual, you CAN NOT get a human to answer the phone at Centra so I'll have to ask to leave work early to go stand in line at the branch and I bet my bank balance that once I'm there they are going to tell me I need to call the number. RE: CENTRA's Response below: What upgrade are you talking about? What in my review could possibly be linked to any sort of an UPGRADE? That would mean that what I'm currently experiencing is somehow even better than it used to be. Amazing how you can have someone respond to a Google review in 3 minutes but a customer with no access to THEIR money has to make a whole day out of trying to get ahold of anyone at this bank to get it fixed. Also I've read a lot of your terrible Google reviews for this AND other branches and you've been using this "upgrade" excuse for close to a year now! Branch update: Stood in line. Expressed my frustration about the fact no one will answer the phone at Centra. The girl, with an attitude, told me they are extremely busy, raising her hand and motioning it in a circle as though I was too dense to realize I just stood in the very line she was referring to. Which is a bogus excuse anyway because no one in that branch is responsible for answering ANY phone calls through their automated system. She then told told me she couldn't help anyway because she was "technically just on the drive-thru" so I was told to wait in line again for a different teller. So I did. And guess what the next teller did...SHE GAVE ME ANOTHER FREAKING PHONE NUMBER TO CALL!!!!! Will be closing our accounts. I encourage anyone who has read this to also read other reviews on this bank for this branch AND other branches. It's all the same complaints from customers and the same excuses from Centra. The Sellersburg branch has like a 1.9 rating!

      They might be great with personal banking, but stay away with mortgages. Yeah they want your business at first, but once they figure out that the process may be sort of difficult, good luck keeping communication. You will find yourself leaving countless off emails and voice-mails with very minimal and vague replies. Hope this helps!

      I have been banking wirh this location for years all the staff are friendly and extremely helpful never ever have I had one complaint and visit at least once a week inside for all my banking needs trust me you wont be disappointed I love this place!
