Capital One Bank Reviews

B. Tiwari5After weeks of calling the 800 number and going to several branches having bankers tell my elderly parents that they can't access their account, we finally went to this branch which is out of the way for them. The teller Ruby was phenomenal. She was detailed and allocated the problem and solved it. She was professional, had patience, and was an amazing trouble shooter. My parents said they will be back to Ruby whenever they have to do their banking. She's an asset to your team and would make a wonderful manager. Thank you.

Rosanne Drapcat1After capital one closed all the branches that people in College Point have access to, this elderly person hiked to this out of the way branch only to find it inaccessible. I am removing my accounts from c one once and for all, as they obviously don’t have customers’ in mind when they close branches. They could have at least put a branch atm on College Pt Blvd for the locals!

Jeff Park1Some tellers are unprofessional without any knowledge and worst customer service ever. Called the Branch Manager and was unresponsive. Try to avoid this branch as much as you can.

Prajeet Ramadan1I walked into the bank for a quick withdrawal and, while the other tellers are busy, there's a male teller sleeping in front the teller line. I decided to go to Chase instead, where their tellers stay awake. I went back to this same place again where I can confidently say Johnathan, is more pleasant sleeping than awake. He is absolutely the most rude, impatient, and condescending person I've ever dealt with. I've never felt compelled to write a review before today, but this male teller has brought me to that point. He is an absolute hinderance to the work force and a pain to be around, even as a customer. I don't know what management is doing to keep around a lazy teller such as himself, who can only be bothered to give 1% of his lame effort when he isn't sleeping around. If management won't do anything about it I highly suggest that corporate look into it because I'm not the only person who must feel this way. This experience truly displeases me knowing that Capital One has many branches closing and the few that remain, such as this, have such an unprofessional worker in their midst. Now that the Roosevelt branch is closing, the Main Street branch is closest to me, knowing that I will have to frequently deal with a worker such as this turns me away from its business.
Response from the ownerWe truly apologize for this experience and agree that sleeping on the job is simply unacceptable. Thanks for taking the time to give us a heads up on this so that we can get your experience in front of the right eyes.^AS

Stephen Liu1If you’re looking to open a business checking account, just save yourself some time and stress and goto another bank or even try another branch. This branch has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from any bank. I called the branch to confirm if there was a relationship manager who can help me open a business checking account. The teller who answered asked me what type of business I had, the address of my business, and if I had each document that I needed, I confirmed that I did have all my documents and I just wanted to know if there was someone that could help me open the account at the branch at that time because Capital One doesn’t open business accounts online. After about 5 minutes of unnecessary questioning about my business and if I had a physical address for my online business, I had to confirm 2 times that yes I had a physical address for my business and I have all my documents needed. The teller said yes I can come in to talk to someone who can help me open the account. I asked if it was busy because I didn’t want to sit around for an hour, and the she said no it’s not busy, we can have someone help you right away. (I was 5 minutes away from the branch) When I arrived, I waited on line to ask the teller if there was someone who can help me open a business checking account, he asked if I had all my documents like my EIN, filing receipt, ect. I said “yes I do”, then he said “I can’t help you”, “the people who can help you aren’t here.” I noted that I called in 5 min ago to confirm if there was someone here who can help me, and was told there was. This teller continued to say no one can help you here. So I asked when someone who can help me will be back. He said “1 to 2 hours”. I asked if he can get in contact with them to confirm this “1 to 2 hours” he said “no I can’t, I told you I can’t help you, can you move for the next customer”. All of this was said to me with annoyance and with attitude. I kept my cool and stepped out the way, walked out and called the branch to ask again if there was anyone I can schedule an appointment with today to open the business account. The same teller picked up and said “no, we can’t help you with that, you can call customer service or the back end if you need help or need to get in touch with someone,” then hung up. I called customer service to see if they can reach someone at the branch that can help me, the customer service agent was told by the same teller at the branch that there wasn’t anybody at the branch that can help open a business account. I filed a complaint with corporate and hope a supervisor at the branch can make some changes with their hiring and training. I also hope a supervisor can be at the branch to help when a customer is looking to establish a relationship with the bank.

Vivian Kwok1This is your typical neighborhood bank servicing the people of the Flushing community, and the way these tellers treat some of their customers is despicable. My mother has been banking here for 20+ years and this will the the last time she will ever visit this branch. She comes home every time complaining about one specific Asian female teller possibly mid 30’s that is extremely rude every time. On one occasion I personally visited the branch and realized I was serviced by the very same teller. Extremely unprofessional behavior and rushed my transaction. After asking a general question about online mobile banking, she was very vague with her answer. I’ve contemplated for several days about posting negative feedback here but this cannot continue and needs immediate attention from management.

L L1waste of my time(15 min). Needed single blank checks. Teller said he needs to check what’s available. Teller proceeds to order check book for me which I can do from the app in less than a min. Why would I make the trip all the way to the bank just so a checkbook can be sent to me!! Any banking I need I will do from my mobile app or a different branch. What a waste of a prime flushing lease. Btw from previous reviews, it seems like lazy people work here. They don’t tell you about other products, and can’t seem to get simple things done.

大鵬1This is the worst bank I have ever been to. I have been to many banks, but the service of this bank is the worst. When I go in, there is no front desk, no one is serving, I need to go to the staff to ask myself, and I still love. Ignore it, I can't understand it. When I applied for a credit card, her service was very poor. I was very disappointed with this bank. It is not recommended to go to this bank, very bad! There is no front desk, no one is in service, I don’t know what to do when I go, when I am doing business, the waiter is very poor, I don’t care, I am very disappointed, my mood is also very bad. Suggestion: You are free. Process the message here. It is better to train your employees. Let them have a little service attitude. I doubt that they have not been trained, it is really bad.
Response from the ownerThis definitely isn't the experience we want you to have & we appreciate you taking the time to leave us your thoughts. Rest assured, we've doc'd this review to get in front of the right eyes so your voice is heard. ^NW
