Ridiculous procedures to deposit cash. This is about $2.73 exact change, depositing with a deposit slip, the old fashioned way. Despite having to dip the debit card, they also had to take and scan my driver's license. I can see that for cashing a check or withdrawing cash, but this is absurd. No wonder they have long lines.

It's sad to say after being a customer for 4 years I am tired of Capital One's poor customer service and also location tellers. In a middle of a pandemic I find it hard to believe that banks cannot give change to individuals. I called Capital One customer service prior to coming into my local location 34th street and they let me know that bank tellers can indeed give change to individuals. I did explain to the lady (in the bank) I was a customer (I have a 360 checking which I will be closing next), but recently closed my account (credit card). It was my birthday recently and I recieved alot of bills, I hate carrying a lot of bills expecially in this area because there are many crackheads and drug addicts who have a habit of stealing people's bags and wallets. Since the pandemic capital one has really fell off and I'm happy to say Citi bank and Discover have treated me much better and I have not been with them for long. Please do not bank with Capital one unless you want your account to be restricted for no reason and you want tellers to refuse you service.

The most horrible, ridiculous customer service ever. I had to spend 2 hours talking to 6 different people at the bank (in person and over the phone), trying to resolve an issue with my credit card that got blocked when I traveled abroad, and the problem was not resolved after all my efforts. I decided to close my credit card (knowing that this will negatively affect my credit score) because I don't want anything to do with this bank anymore. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE

I would've given 5 stars but this recent issue is causing me to rethink about banking with Capital One. My purse was taken last Thursday 2/7/2019.I called the bank immediately to report it and have them cancel my card and re issue my checks. I re ordered a new 360 debit card and checks. It was suppose to have arrived in 2/15/2019. Went to the branch around the corner from my job at lunch to cash my check. Due to my purse being stolen I have no ID So I was told to deposit the check and the money will be available after midnight because it's a Capitol one payroll check. Well that never happened!! Card still not here no checks and I have no way of buying groceries for my kids. There was no need for the branch supervisor or Kevin to lie to me about the check availability! It's also a big inconvenience that temporary cards aren't available for emergencies like this! I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed because I've never felt this way about banking here or any other bank. I also called Capitol one 800# problem still not fixed. I was offered to cancel the card that was supposed to go Ave arrived and start over. I declined because obviously that would delay me having access to my funds further. Seriously frustrated and rather close the account than for us to starve!

      Response from the owner

Hey Shalonte - This isn't at all the experience we like to hear about, and we apologize for the inconvenience this situation caused you. We understand how important access is, and while it's true that we're not able to issue temporary cards for 360 accounts in branches, we do see where you're coming from here and will document this feedback to ensure your voice is heard. If you still need help, please tap our Chat team from the lower left corner of your Transaction History page on the full site and we'll dig in over a secure line. ^JG

I had the worst experience over the phone with CapitalOne service. My problem was that I wasn't able to see my second visa card online to make payment. I contacted support with the number on the back of the card and when I finally had someone to assist me, I felt like the rep didn't understand my problem. I was kept on hold and still wasn't getting anywhere when I kept asking about my second card. The rep kept asking me for my personal Banking information but the problem wasn't making payment, it was seeing my card and detail in the Capital One website. I didn't want to waste anymore of mine time so I just went in the bank in person. When I entered to the 34 st and 7th ave branch I was immediately helped by a banker named Ronald. He was awesome and knew so much of the product and service. He helped me in 3 mins to register my card and update my online access. This could have easily been a horrible experience or just back luck but it was quickly turned around with great banking service and knowledgeable workers like Ronald.

      Response from the owner

Hey there, Henry—not sure what wires got crossed over the phone, but that falls far short of an ideal customer expereince and we than you for bringing it to our attention. We're glad Ronald could take care of ya and get things sorted—we'll be sure to pass along the kudos. ^MS

Went to 3 different banks for notary around noon time, this is the rudest service I’ve ever received. Maybe she had a tough morning, but a simple greeting is the least you could provide as a banking professional. Instead, she gave me a cold ‘no,no’ without really looking at me. Hope this can be improved especially as a senior level. P.s. eventually got my Notary with great service at the Chase by MSG.

Hi I'm so excited I opened my new Capital one accounts. My experience going today was AWSOME. RON is one of the best employee I ever encountered very professional nice out going makes you feel welcome into the branch. I was ver comfortable with him.Very open minded he helped til the end. Conclusion: I think tha Capital Bank has the one of the best employee. This bank is going far if the continue to hire people like Ron! 😁👍 GREAT JOB.

This bank is a joke. There’s only ONE person working in the help desk area. It took 1 hour to get help. I never wanted Capital One; because I knew this bank was a complete joke to begin with. I sat with the employee last month TO UPDATE my information, THE NEXT MONTH IT WASNT UPDATED. And I really question it’s validity. No idea How it’s even open. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE. DO NOT.

Needed a certified check for the first time. Was advised there is a $10.00 fee for said check but if I have a balance of at least $100,000 or a high yield checking account, which requires a minimum balance, the $10.00 fee is waived. Capital One is supporting the rich becoming richer and the poor becoming poorer. In a just world, the fee would be reversed as clearly someone with over $100,000 can absorb the $10.00 fee much more so than someone with a $1,000 balance. It's DISCRIMINATION based on ones economic status. Shame on bankers and the FR for allowing it. I'm filing complaints with the FR for unfair business practices and discrimination.

Honestly can say every time I go I have a great experience! But the last one outdid itself thanks to Kevin!! I have been trying to open. Checking account online and I always have a hard time I gave up, I went in talked to the teller and he opened it for me 123 also helped with some other issues I had with my saving! I was in and out in 25 mins! He didn't tell me to come back or gave me the round around! I loved it thank you!

      Response from the owner

Kevin's such a gem and we're so glad to hear you got the gold standard here! We'll be sure to pass this along to our branch leadership :) ^AJS
