Capital One Bank Reviews

Antonio Brown1They missed out on a business account! I made an appointment to open a business account with the online, showed and they were clueless about the appointment. Then I had certificates of good standing from both the home state of Ga and Md along with the articles of incorporation and the SS4 IRS form. She said she couldn't take the documents I brought to open the account because I didn't have the return letter from the IRS with the EIN on it. Apparently the number I have on the SS4 with both certificates and the articles of incorporation wasn't enough to verify the business. AND it's DBE/MBE certified!! CLUELESS!!! I'm going to Truist, never had to worry about such processes.

Thy Tran1Line always long, especially Saturday morning and weekdays lunch and b4 closing time. ATM machines broke down too often, the drive-through ones are most frequently. I experienced AMT machine swallowing deposit money first time in my life here. Staffs inside said they could do nothing about it, I just have wait for whoever tasked of processing claims, despite that I told them I have bills to pay. I waited for 6 weeks b4 seeing the amount back to me. Staffs are nice and helpful. But this location seriously need to step up their game to hire more people for busy hours and replace AMT machines for everyone’s sake. Your members entrust you with their money - Treat them right n don’t waste their time. You don’t want them to choose another bank when they get sick enough of frequent inconvenience.

Daryl Taylor1I have observed Capital One closing a number of their facilities throughout PG County. It's time for me to find another bank. I would expect others within the county to do the same, close you accounts

Ermie De Dios1I’m been with Capital One,since 1995, really like them when it comes to customer service, but this morning when I call the bank to help me about EFT, keep on telling me it’s not there fault that the funds is not there , but can you just make feel that you’re going to help me, not hanging out, very rude, so disappointed, branch in Bowie.

Moyo Asokere1Worst customer service. Sat down waiting for a banker for over 46min. A banker finally became available, instead of asking if customer needed help, she went to have 10min of conversation with a peer while customers are sitting around waiting for them. A few of us had to walk out. If your tablet system is not working then speak to your customers.
Response from the ownerThis certainly isn't the type of experience we aim for and strive to put our best foot forward. We'll get this feedback into the right hands to ensure your voice is heard.^AS

Peter Waugh5This is a good bank branch. Expect it to be kind of loud in there, and it's got people in it(but they move the line real good). The good thing about it is they'll accept silly things like you want to buy rolls of half dollars or nickels, and they can deposit your check if you don't want to do it online. If your account is online, or if it is opened at a bank, enjoy coming here to buy coins or deposit checks or withdraw cash or whatever it is you do. A banky bank.

Ken Montville2It is rare I need to actually go into a bank to speak with a real person. However, on this occasion, I needed to because I couldn't get what I wanted either online or through phone support. So, I dutifully went to my local branch. This particular branch has a little bit of a cramped parking lot with some spaces positioned right in front of the outgoing traffic from the drive throughs. It also has limited parking with a tight access entrance. Nevertheless, the teller line was really busy. I needed to see a "banker" to do what I needed to do and they were all busy. By "they" I mean the one that seemed to be working. The branch has a really cool sign in process through a customized iPad which I thought was nice. However, the wait was excruciating. Once it was my turn, the banker was able to help but, evidently, it took lots of computer clicks and the like. In the middle of the process she had to answer the phone (why no one else answered is beyond me) and the call caused her to walk away from our transaction to take care of whatever the call was about. Bottom line: the branch is understaffed (even at the teller window) which causes customer service to suffer. The parking situation leaves a lot to be desired. I get that most transactions and banking now happens online or over the phone or through the ATMs. However, as long as people continue to need the branch and real people there should be enough staff to serve the community.

Tammy Ramlal1The teller is too loud for banking services. Must learn to be discreet when handling customer banking needs.
