      Grossly incompetent. Mom passed away. She had an IRA with the bank. It took many calls to get coordination and paperwork completed. Waited months for disbursement check. Called for status of the check, and the account rep did not see any evidence of paperwork, much less alone that there were beneficiaries on the IRA. Then treated me like an incompetent customer when he said, “How can I help you, when you don’t even remember who it is you talked to months ago.” Evidently, the customer needs to do the bulk of the work because the people at the bank do not feel that they are expected to be competent. Consider yourself warned.

      This review is for Busey Bank, NOT Glenview State Bank, which was acquired by Busey Bank. Horrible Bank. Horrible Bill Pay System. Did Paul A. Jones lose the bank (Glenview State Bank) in a poker game? I'll be withdrawing all of my money this week. Did I mention Busey Bank is a horrible bank? Update (1/25/2022): As promised, I closed my accounts at the end of Dec. 2021. I banked with Glenview State Bank for 48 years, then Busey bought them out. I'm so glad to be out of there. Find a community bank in your neighborhood and bank there. You won't be sorry! Run people! Run! Don't look back!

With an outstanding customer service that spend time and resources to provide their customers with financial advice and services tailored to their needs, and never try to push me with banking services that I don't need. They have treated me as a human being, and not a number. They work to maintain the trust of their customer, they keep their funds safe from fraud and theft. Always focused on providing excellent customer service over obtaining a profit at all costs. I really recommend this Bank.

      I’ve had a car loan through this bank for the past 4.5 years. Every time I call here I get nothing but nice people that are a pleasure to deal with and they speak English. If I didn’t live 40 miles from here I’d definitely ditch my bank for checking and come here. It seems like nowadays place lack customer service skills, but the phone operators at this brand definitely have them. Also, this was the only bank who approved me for a loan because when I bought my car I didn’t have any real credit without paying high interest rates. So to me this is the best bank ever!!!!!

      If you don't mind the structure of their policies continually changing. If you don't mind reoccurring monthly charges noted as "banking fee" (a checking account used for 4 auto payments only) monthly- You may very well like GSB. - I have banked there for 20 years. Over the last couple years, started noticing fee's added, checking benefits removed, etc. The benefits they used to offer as a small bank (with the exception of the lovely tellers) are gone. Went to Chase hesitantly and now I can say happily!

      I had a car loan with GSB. Set up and service was initially excellent. I paid the loan off more than a year early in May of 2019. On applying for a mortgage I found my Transunion report still showed my account for a car loan with GSB, with a balance of $25,000. My actual balance has been zero since May. When I spoke with GSB accounts (Ms. K Subade), she acknowledged the account was settled and closed in May of this year. Ms. Subade assured me over the phone that she would send notice to the credit agencies that my account was paid and closed. No word back from GSB or Ms. Subade and Transunion still show the balance. I had a very good experience with GSB up to this point. I hope this will be corrected as soon as possible in keeping with that experience. You may want to look somewhere else for a car or house loan based on this lack of responsiveness and caring for even a good customer. Update: issue has been resolved. Thank you!

      !!!!!!! WORSE BANK I EVEN SEEN!!!!!!! I have no good experience to open account for my business with Glenview bank. I was requested to fill and sign about 15 pages. It takes about 20 min and 20 min more for representative fill system. I was need to fill extra pages- special form to have online access(!) and options to make ACH and Wire. TERRIBLE!!! 7 days later I have still have no bank card, no online access. After I contact bank they inform me that they have special policy I can get ACH and wire option only after one year with bank!!!!!!! WORSE BANK I EVEN SEEN!!!! I ask them to close accounts.

      I want by my money back have proof of wire fraud u never answered my letters never sent me my records I asked for .the women there tied to get me to sign a letter absolving the bank of any wrong doing I thought they were crazy be or thought I was as dumb as they were.one employee now gone stopped police from writing a report about u but a report wSnt written what is happening at 800 Waukegan Rd never be had problem on Chestnut bank so when the wires be came in why didn't they go there and why wasn't I told that I had my IRA. Had been wired in Feb 2013 bout wasn't deposited til July 2013 with $5000.00missing and the lie I got from the person who did this was too incredible. To believe.

      Our family moved to Glenview in 1973 & GSB became our family bank, & our business's bank. I started my first account there and it's still active. Our family became very close with many wonderful people @GSB and although my parents are both gone now, my husband & I still run one of my Dads companies & of course GSB is our personal & corporate bank as well as our bank to hold our Trusts. Could not say enough about them!!

      unbelievable. the most unprofessional and unsympathetic bank in the world. greedy and. inhumane This bank is unethical and should be reported for abuse and iunethical practices. They make up ridiculous fees and do not care about people. Their legal practices are questionable at best
