  I have been going to Jason for years! Never, ever have had any issues on any level.   I went to Jason with a pretty simple tax return. $300.We spent an hour together. The 'tax planning' advice was to save more in our company retirement plan. $100. Our estimate was $250-325 and $100 if we did tax planning. When I questioned the high fee, Jason let me know he had to do a couple extra things, like us logging in together (during the 60 mins) to print off a 529 tax statement and his advice to save more in our company retirement was considered tax planning. Additional time his staff had to scan in my documents (which I offered to send in electronically and was told it wasn't necessary). While Jason was pleasant and competent, this fee was unreasonable.

  Thank you for the valuable feedback. As you referenced, we charged you within the fee range we quoted. We quoted $350 to $425, including tax preparation and planning. We charged you $400. Maybe it was not clear to you, but since you delivered your materials to us in advance, we spent about one and one-half hours doing much of the tax preparation work before we met. We did this to save you time. This is also why our meeting was fairly brief. I hope my response is helpful.

  Since my wife and I have accumulated several income properties and own and operate a couple of businesses it is imperative that we find the most qualified professionals in the industry to handle our accounts.   Jason has been my accounted for over 12 years, When I had my Idaho Gold and Silver store and also my personal returns. In all those years with very challenging accounting, I have never been audited ! That is the proof of a accountants worth. It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny. Jason is a stickler for details !
