  I have worked with Tom Shannon on five different loans, including two home mortgages, two refinances of those loans, and a home equity line of credit. Our relationship goes back to 2008, before his time with Bell Bank. In each and every interaction I've had with Tom, he has proven to be one of the kindest, most down-to-earth people I know, while at the same time exhibiting the highest level of professionalism and responsiveness and working hard to find the best loan option to suite my particular needs. I have always found him to be very patient in explaining loan terms, particularly the relevant differences between the options he was presenting.   We were referred to Tom for a loan and I hadn't had a loan since our home mortgage. I'm sure I asked several unintelligent questions but he answered them so I could understand completely. We knew we would need this loan but didn't know when. He reached out to us at the perfect time. We started the paperwork and then it was time for closing. He chose a location that was closer to us.   Everything that needed to be done was handled promptly and professionally by Tom and his staff. My realtor had 24/7 access and they took care of everything needed and within an hour of viewing a house we had a pre-approval in hand which allowed us to buy the house before an open house the next day. My other mortgage options couldn't even come close.
