  They have had our taxes since MARCH, they have yet to be filed. We have only been contacted to be told they had to file an extension (which I honestly don’t even know was really done) because they were “so backed up”. I have called MULTIPLE times recently trying to get an update on when the taxes will be complete- they DO NOT return calls or inform you of anything going on- I can only assume it’s because they aren’t doing anything at all! I wouldn’t go back here if they were the last place left in the world. It’s mind boggling to me how they are still in business.

  Snobby, no returned phone calls or emails. They have all my tax paperwork and yet it’s been like TWO YEARS working in my taxes (I have back taxes and some mistakes). I don’t know who to turn to.

  Not a great experience. It’s very disappointing when you trust someone to handle a deceased loved ones personal affairs and they don’t communicate with you and don’t complete services as agreed upon. Not professional or customer service centered . Would not recommend

  Went to Baughan's with high hopes. They sounded like they could handle my taxes easily. Up until now they only had 1 bad review. So I thought 1 bad review. Not so bad, sometimes stuff happens. I should've heeded that 1 review.It was spot on. Poor communication and service. They ran into an issue with 1 form that my previous tax prep guy had no trouble with. Their plan was to call the IRS and wait indefinitely until the IRS called them back. They have been waiting over two weeks. Meanwhile my state taxes are now late and interest and penalties are piling up. No communication from them at all. Not even to keep me updated about what was going on. I just asked them for my taxes back and would take them elsewhere. When I went to collect my taxes they didn't even have the courtesy to speak with me. Couldn't even say "sorry we couldn't help you" or "we wish this would've gone better". Not very friendly to new clients. Unless you need help with a 1040ez form go elsewhere. By the way, they have an arbitrary mask policy. The only one in the office wearing one was the receptionist. Carlton Coleman

  Regretfully, I have to amend my formerly good review of Baughan's Financial Services. After getting excellent service through 2018, "the wheels came off the bus." First there was an erroneous Gift Tax filing that resulted in an IRS letter indicating I had to pay tax (I did not). I was never told what Baughan's did wrong, was just told, "don't worry about it" and never shown anything, no explanation. Then I was erroneously advised that I did not need a special electronic routing number from my bank to have a refund automatically deposited (I did, got paper refund check despite informing them of their error and having my bank call and inform them). It happened again the following year. Then when I attempted to use them for my last remaining parent's Estate and final year of life Income Tax, I simply got no response for months. Was told once communications finally started that "there seems to be a miscommunication on my attorney's part." There was not, it was on Baughan's part, first between a tax preparer and my attorney, and then between the CPA and attorney. I sent two emails requesting a ph. call mtg. to explain Baughan's misunderstanding to them. After five years of working together, and many cordial and convivial meetings where I thought we had built a good rapport, I simply never got a response. Unacceptable and unprofessional conduct. There is a sad story in that the former Tax Mgr. (who was wonderful) became ill and had to quit work full-time; after that, the business doesn't seem to have been well managed. There are many decent people there, but due to the now poor quality service, recommend going elsewhere.

  Bob and his staff are very conscientious and punctual in meeting deadlines. He takes a moderate, conservative approach that can keep you out of trouble with the IRS. Michael Shall
