  Been plenty of times but ownership has recently changed and I gotta say, way less interesting stuff and the firearms department is now insanely expensive compared to fair deals the previous owner gave. SKSs going for upwards of $600 despite being able to buy them offline for $300, same manufacturer, all matching parts. "new" removed from box AK drums for $150 despite going for $99.99 with free shipping online. They've also sadly changed their layaway policy with a markup instead of being the same price as long as you pay it off. All around I feel I've lost a great little pawn shop to the new owner, but I'm sure there's still good to be had there.

  Love these small town second-hand shops. All the things you'll find in the typical stores, but some of the less common things come out of the woodwork in spots like this. Firearms transfers at $30, which keeps sb941 from being prohibitively expensive (unlike some other shops I've tried...) Good folks.

  I've been going to this pawn shop since before I could even see the top of the counter. My grandpa and by dad always went there. And I enjoyed going seeing all the cool stuff they had. My family had done allot of business there. Mark as always been a nice guy and easy to talk to. Never had any issues other than recently when trying to get a gun out but that's due to the licensing thing which should hopefully be worked out soon. I'll continue my business there as I feel there the best pawn shop around. Worth the drive to woodburn in my opinion.

  I am one of the most understanding people you could meet, and I make it a point to be kind to everyone no matter their station in life or past mistakes. But I just have to give my honest experience with these people at Barkley's Buy Sell Pawn. First off, I too have experienced the very low ball prices that these people offer for my gold. More than that, I have been very disappointed with the poor social skills that the employees posses. The owner has not taken the time to pay attention to the detail in customer service that it takes to run a quality business. On a few occasions I have been told that my gold was not authentic and have gone to other locations only to be told that it is authentic and have been offered fair prices for those same items. It is my true belief that if there are particular items that have no interest to them at Barkley's, they will be dishonest in saying that your gold is not real, instead of just stating that they are not interested in purchasing it. Also, I do believe that the employees are well below the median level of qualification that it takes to work in this type of business. I have always been met with such ignorance and rudeness as to bring me ill. Once when I was selling some gold and was asked to present my ID, I was shocked with how one of the employees passed my ID around as the others looked at each other and chuckled. They do not leave you with a good feeling even after they have purchased your gold, and the facility, with it's dark and dingy presence certainly aids in the whole negative experience. I have never felt appreciated there, only disrespected, often ignored, and thought small of... This owner is a fool to employ such low minded individuals and I suppose that they would only be a reflection of his social and mental strengths, or the lack thereof.... Sorry, but I must be honest...

  It's unfortunate you had some trouble selling your gold to us in the past. I can assure you that each of our employees have many years of experience with precious metals, including testing for authenticity. Sadly there are fakes out there that can look quite real and can only be identified by proper testing and a trained eye. Sometimes even a Pawn Shop can be fooled if not careful, or less experienced. Even scrap gold is valuable, so we would never turn it down if real. We offer competitive prices for gold, but as a business we cannot pay the same as we sell it for. We pride ourselves on our reputation for being kind, friendly and honest to everyone who takes time out of their day to walk through our doors. I have asked every employee about the incident you describe with the I.D, they are all shocked to hear of this. I looked at our security camera footage, but it doesn't show anything like that happening. It was clearly a misunderstanding, but I'm sorry you felt disrespected. We hope you will give us another chance to earn your business.

  The new management definitely made this store great. Clean and easy to find what you need. Has helped me find several much needed tools. Would definitely recommend.
