Banner Bank Reviews

Rosa Mejia1Worst possible bank you could have an account with. This location, just horrible. So inconvenient. Staff is so rude and never helpful. Awful customer service. The fact you have to give them a week notice in order to withdraw over $3,000+ out of your own account is ridiculous. Canceling my accounts with this bank. I was recommended to open my business account with them but no, gosh. Such a horrible experience every time. Chase has never given these many problems.
Response from the ownerHi Rosa - thank you for sharing this experience with us. We strive to provide excellent client service with every visit so I will forward your comments to bank management.

Shermancompound5I've had a Banner account for over 10 years and honesty just had it for the free ATM benefit. That benefit has been reduced to I think 4 transactions a month. Nonetheless, I like that perk. However, this review is in regards to Jordan Haley, she was a floater teller, probably helps out at other branches too. My lady and I had some papers that needed a notory and she was the one who helped us. She was fun and friendly and I liked her. Good job Jordan and loves the Christmas sweater.
Response from the ownerThanks so much for your 5-star review and kind words! It's great to hear the ATM benefit is coming in handy and that Jordan was able to help with your paperwork. I will pass along your compliments. :)

Karissa Allen1I had been a customer for over ten years. They decided to end our relationship after making my husband wait in line at the teller window for over 30 mins as someone opened an account. Once my husband finally got to the window he was not happy. The bank staff then decided to refuse to help him and closed the blinds on him. This ado made him late to work. Ending the relationship was their decision. However the bank has gone down hill since the new branch manager Kylie has no idea what customer service is. I have now gone to keybank. They are fast, Efficient, friendly, and they don’t allow accounts to be opened at the drive up window. Before going to this branch take a moment to research the others in the area with better reviews and staff. This was a good bank, its a-shame that’s it now ran by dense staff.
Response from the ownerHi Karissa - sorry to hear about the experience your husband had at the branch. Unfortunately, the client who was being helped as he waited had a complicated request that took more time than anticipated. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience he experienced. Thank you.

Frank Enderle1I rec'd a notice 3 months ago that the bank would commence charging for a paper statement. I contacted the bank and was told that charge would not apply to our business account as the account holder is considered a senior. Our July statement arrived and of course they charged us for a paper statement. The bank refused to reverse the charges - on the phone and in person, even after I provided the name of the teller who gave me the wrong info. I was told, "there was a lot of confusion about whether that would apply to business accounts or not when it was rolled out, so the teller probably just assumed it". To add insult even further, the bank also withdrew ANOTHER paper statement charge for the forthcoming August statement, which I have not received, nor do I want since I closed out the account after being treated like this. Avoid this bank at all expense. They will nickel and dime you endlessly.
Response from the ownerFrank, we're sorry for the confusion and losing you as a client. We'll share this information with the branch as well as leadership in an effort to provide more accurate information in the future to others.

Kylie Valentine1The bank itself sucks! We had some fraudulent charges on our account, we tell them and then 3 months later they say it wasn't fraudulent and they are taking money out of our account. It was 500 dollars. We will not be banking with them ever again.

Justin Feral-McWhirter5I've been with Banner Bank for years and highly recommend it. They're very friendly, and yet that's not what sets them apart. My experience has been that most bank people are friendly, it's just that many of the big banks have policies that aren't friendly. I find Banner to be more than fair, flexible, and they truly have a culture of amazing customer service. The free ATM deal (they reimburse you for using other people's) makes it so I don't have to worry about finding an ATM. I hate paying $4-5 to take a few bucks out of an ATM ($2-2.50 fee for your bank, plus $2-2.50 for the ATM) Banner doesn't charge you to use another ATM, and then actually reimburses you for the fee the ATM charges. I can't recommend Banner highly enough. I've been into the Cedar Hills branch a few times and they've always been very helpful and friendly. At this point, I'd be surprised to get any other kind of service.

Kona5We left Key Bank about 9 years ago with No Regrets...We love Banner Bank's personal and business banking. The people who work there are awesome! We've not had a single issue about anything, ever!
Response from the ownerHi Kona. Thank you for the 5-star review. We are delighted that you have been pleased with our services, and we will pass your kind words along to the branch staff.

Christopher Sowers1BS bank that doesn't honor it's offers. Such a scam, don't do any business with these shady ppl. They lie and screw you over. They say open a new account and get $75 after 3 debit card transactions but refused to honor their word. Why give you guys my business of a $150,000 home loan refinance when you won't pay what you owe.
Response from the ownerHi Christopher - that's certainly not the level of service we strive to provide. If we can help, please visit a branch that's convenient for you or call us at 800-272-9933. Thanks!
