Bank of the West Reviews

RL Black1Worst banking experience I've ever had. I deposited $1200 at an ATM, it said "transaction failed". I called to fix the issue- they have now removed and redeposited the money 3 times and it may happen again. Now it looks like I over-drew my account when in fact I didn't. Go ahead and risk banking with them. They will play with your money like a 5-year-old plays Monopoly.

James Wittkowske1Write check to other person, bank wants to charge them $9.50 since they are not a customer. So bank basically makes my personal check worth less. That's number one. Two- go to drive thru to cash another check to avoid the $9.50 bullsh*t fee. Never asked how said money was wanted. So asked for 4x100 and 4x50 instead of the 30x20's. Got 4 50's and the rest 20's. So I go into the lobby and get the 20's exchanged for 100's. I won't go into the wait........... Been a customer of this bank since they came to NM. Looking elsewhere and so should you. This all happened in the last hour. 12/9/20 1137am

Florence Hernandez1This morning my husband and I used the window thinking we would be in and out quickly. We were cashing a check from work,we sent in the check and of course my husband's driver's license. Waited and yes soon enough the lady appeared, thank you have a good weekend!! I replied you as well! The bussling sound of the machine came on and the glass holding an envelope and a balance receipt accompanied it on the outside of the envelope. I reached in Took the envelope and receipt out ,handed it directly to my husband...he was opening it and I asked him..is your license in there??? Ummm No!! He looked through the envelope which didn't take long it's not like there was a lot of money in there. I pressed the button to call them and this time a gentleman appeared, I told him My husband's license isn't in the envelope. He left window and came back and said She said she put it in the envelope! I said ..umm nope it's not in there! He left came back and said..its iin there!! No it isn't!! She finally came back and continued to say it was in the envelope...then said she'd look came back only to say she had put it in there.looking annoyed like we were the crazy people just giving her problems on a Saturday morning. She said look in your car on the floor board, maybe he put it in his wallet and forgot. I told her we looked all over but full well knowing that it had NOT been in the envelope on the way back to us. Then she said not only once but twice..what do you wznw me to do?? I said make it appear, you were the last person to have it. Finally I assume it was the manager who came to window and said it wasn't in there.but she'd look. Came back asked for a few minutes if we wanted to park in front in the shade .we did but we got down and went in bank, the two tellerst were working and neither one acknowledged us,they even seemed a little irked we were inside. The manager offered us water and a seat but we declined.some other customers came in and thought we were inline but I explained my situation to them.they could not believe the bank had lost our license The manager came out again went behind tellers station and back to her office where I imagine she was looking at camera footage. She came out straight to the original teller's station and picked up the license and handed it to my husband and said Im sorry for any inconveniences That's all well and good but the two teller's who had there attitudes never once apologized for there behavior.didnt say hey I was wrong I'm sorry...nothing!!! If your worker's do something wrong have them apologize,or maybe hire people whom that apology will just simply come from them on there own, there not children.yes I know people make mistakes werew human but as an adult we need to recognize that and make amends. Needless to say our Saturday morning got a little derailed we are just glad we got it back and didn't have to go to MVD...noone likes that trip. Hopefully thing's improve and the teller's pay more attention and simply be a little more kind in a situation they created.
