Bank of the West Reviews

Laurie B1Horrible customer service! I went in to understand what to do about a charge to my deceased mothers account. A charge issued by Bank of the West. The teller was the most un-empathic person! Never even said sorry for your lose. She would not waive the fee and she refused to return my mothers death certificate. She was horrible and unfeeling. No compassion. I would never bank here. Use a Credit Union if you want personal care.

Donna Hite2I have been banking here for years in Elizabeth so I took my daughter to open her first account. When you first walk in the bank no one greets you at all. We waited patiently until someone asked what she could do for us. No greeting first. I asked her if anyone was available to open an account. She said yes and told us to have a seat. Thank goodness the bank officer Chelsie Bonner had better manners. She was pleasant shook our hands and offered to help us in her office. Everything was handled efficiently and quickly. Once we we're done we needed to make deposits so we had to go back to the tellers. We were greeted with you will have to go to one of the others by the middle teller. No, I apologize my drawer is closed already one of the other tellers will be happy to help you. Very blunt and rude. Then she said she didn't realize we would be making a deposit. Isn't that what you do when you open an account? I realize it was close to closing but after all the bank was not closed yet. Not one smile from any of the tellers. When they finally helped there was no apology for the wait just what can I do for you. At least she told my daughter thank you or I would have let them have a piece of mind. Pretty sad when an 18 year old tells me their service was horrible. So far Chelsie is the only reason I did not close our accounts. Small Town bank you at least expect friendly. Bank did not officially close until 5 so to all of the tellers that we're in a hurry to go home you help customers until the bank is closed. WOW! I am a customer service supervisor and I would have written each of them up. My rating is for the tellers.

Jango Jo1Terrible branch. This branch single handedly sealed the deal for me to leave this so called establishment of a bank. Lets begin wit my card being shut off without any acknowledgement to me due to a Target hack. I of course had shopped at target around the time of the hack. So its moving day and i am on the road a single female aged 23 at the time. I got to fill up on gas and im supposed to notify my bank. Ugh! They said it was for my safety and i told them for my safety you will turn my card on. Im a young single woman in the middle of nowhere USA. They did for 24 hours. So after that i was screwed. The closest bank to where i moved was 3 hours away in Elizabeth, CO. I book it there before my first day atnwork because i need gas money/ living money and the manager and his minion biznatch tell me even with my id and all my banking info. they cant confirm im me so they cant give me my money... Excuse me! I had to argue with these morons finally let me have money as i got corporate on the line as well as threatened to call the police. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. THE MANAGER IS A FOOL OF A MAN. AND THE WOMAN EMPLOYEE WHO TRYS TO HARD TO LOOK GOOD "for said manager" IS A BIMBO OF A WOMAN. DONT BANK WITH THIS BANK BUT ESPECIALLY NOT THIS BRANCH... IDIOTS CONTROLING YOUR MONEY IS NOT GOOD! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
