Possibly the worst customer service at a bank ever experienced. Lady behind us said she tries to avoid this branch for that same reason.

      Response from the owner

Hi, Kellie. It's disappointing to hear that your experience wasn't at the level you expected, and we’ll certainly be sharing your feedback with our leadership team. So after waiting 15 minutes to see a young lady at the counter I placed a cashier's check in the tray and asked to cash it. She asked me if I banked with bank of America which I stated no. She said oh well that's going to be a problem. Hmm, that seems weird being the cashiers check I was cashing was from bank of America. She asked where I bank at and I replied Chase.....she told me to take the check there and cash it....I said it's a check from your bank. She said that's the rules at all banks not just bank of America. So I mosey on over to my bank (Chase) and ask it that's true. (Which I knew it wasn't but I thought maybe something changed) and I was informed that it is indeed not true. Do yourself a favor and never accept a bank of America check for any puchases if you expect to cash it. So as I sit here writing this I figured on would see what bank of Americas website says about this....hmm. You have some explaining to do bank of disappointments.

When I went in to enquire about an issue with my account, the manager at this branch started acting very rude was trying to tell me how I am careless and nothing can be done to solve the issue which was their mistake in first place. He just wanted me to go away without making him work any more. I can totally relate to other reviewers for this branch. This is the worst ever experience in a bank I ever had. Unprofessional and rude staff (probably not everyone but based on other reviews most are I guess). Save your self time and peace of mind and visit another branch where staff is more friendly and courteous and values your business. THIS BRANCH SHOULD BE CLOSED IF SAME STAFF IS RETAINED.

The branch manager Steve Smith is by far the WORST branch manager I have EVER had to deal with!! He is a disgusting, rude, just down right horrible person! He is an embarrassment to Bank of America! They should not allow someone like him representing their business. I arrived at 4:35pm to make a simple deposit into my account and had forgotten my debit card sadly at home. I had waited in line until making my way up to the teller at 5:15pm, a 45 minute wait!! I had all identification needed to make a deposit. I have two last names and the check I was depositing had only one of my last names on it. Not only did he refuse to allow me to deposit it into MY ACCOUNT he treated me so horribly that I left crying. I HAVE NEVER been so disrespected by an employee of a bank let alone a BRANCH MANAGER ever in my life! I have been cashing these checks for several months now and not one time did this ever be an issue. I’m literally disgusted by the service I received at this branch. I have made a complaint with corporate whom reassured me that Steve had the choice to deposit my check and simply chose NOT TOO! I will NOT let this go and will continuously call corporate regarding this issue until something has been done about him! Do not open an account at this location you will receive the same care I have! Pick a different location being that there are a few good ones out there. also check the other recent reviews for this location they are all bad!

Staff is wack. I never had a bank teller try so hard to get me to not do a cashier's check 4 times she tried to get me to go somewhere else even quoted their prices. It was as if she was trying to avoid work. Instead of placing my card into the tray she toss em there like I'm done with this I dont want it. Doesnt say have a nice day thanks for banking with us or anything once she was done she just walked away I wasnt even sure if our transaction was over yet had to ask. Kapre or something was her name.

Horrible manager! This may be the worst banking experience I may have ever had. I have been banking with BoA for over 20 years. I was purchasing a car and was making a withdrawal for that purchase. I was told very rudely by the manager Sean Shivers that I could not take that amount of money out. I was asking for $7750!! Out of my own account! He was extremely rude and even started fight with my husband and friends right in the bank lobby. I feel this man should not be a manager at this or any location. He verbally assaulted my husband and challenged him to a fistfight in the bank lobby!! He was very Thug like and has no business working in a bank dealing with people!!!

This is THE WORST branch of B of A. I have been a customer my entire life and have never experienced such poor customer service. In October after my husband and I got married, we went with our marriage certificate to be able to change the name on our joint account (as that was what was said we needed online). We were told that my social security card was needed to be changed or else they would not let us deposit our checks. I then had to wait until I could get the time off work to do that. Now it’s December. I went, and brought in proof from social security. NOW the manager at Tatum and Bell said I needed to ALSO have my drivers license (which took an additional week to get - and the paper version would NOT be accepted) It was RIDICULOUS. We decided to try a different branch and ALL I WAS ASKED TO SHOW WAS MY MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE. The branch at Scottsdale and Greenway was very kind and apologized for the inconvenience we faced. The conversation all started when our associate said she was so impressed with how quickly I changed my name. And I told her that I was told from the manager at Tatum and Bell that it was REQUIRED to deposit my checks from the wedding that had the new name on them. It was such an AWFUL experience. I will never walk into this branch again. Save yourself the time and struggle. I could have deposited my checks months ago and the gift givers wouldn’t have been waiting on me to balance their check books.

Absolutely love this branch! The employees are very friendly and helpful. But corporate can you please fix the wait time! My business cannot afford 20-30min every time we come in. We’ve all asked for these lines to be reduced. If your a busy branch add more staff. Your losing customers:(

Just looking at all these horrible reviews, I don't even understand how they haven't FIRED the entire staff, managers included. Now with that being said I have had a horrible experience here...... I have unfortunately been to this location twice and both times the teller (different ones each time) has been rude, when asked to speak to a manager (oddly enough both managers, were different men also) he was even ruder. I just don't understand how an entire location can be miserable, but when banking at the Bank of Americas by my house in Mesa, I have NEVER received this type of service. My father lives close to this bank and will not go here at all....... Very disappointing.
