First of all if I could have gave zero stars I would have. My wife and I had a savings account with Bank of America in Woodhaven. Every trip to this bank has ended with horrible service. From no drive through to having to come in and go through an appointment process to do the simplest things. Because of our bad experience with the Merrill lynch banker we decided to close our account and move our money somewhere else. lisa the service person set up the time for Saturday. We told her we're were going to deposit this check into our bank immediately so we went threw the whole process and she gave us a cashiers check for a large sum and we could not deposit it into the new bank because of them post dating the check for a few days out . WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD that they were going to give us a post dated check before we closed our account. We would have waited til until the next business day. How incompetent. This institution does not care about you at all. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. For banking.

Slow and understaffed. Always like that. No intentions of ever changing it. Bank of America customer service has gone down tremendously. They don’t care about their customers. It’s take it or leave it attitude from them. Really hate this brand now.

This is one of many issues, but the latest. Yesterday I went to close my savings account. The teller said I can give you the money out of it but you need to make a appointment or call the 800 number. 2 800 numbers later that don't work. Call centers closed, with no hrs of operation? I called after 1100am. So now I'm going back to the bank and seeing the manager. This is just a small part of my bad experiences with BOA! Never again! Credit unions rock!

Horrible, not a member here, but I took a disaster relief fund out because of the pandemic and certain things needed to be paid. Took a good amount from my 401k and they told me I could go to a Bank of America to cash it. I’m a store manager with Verizon and took my check here to cash because it was the weekend and I needed it for my wife’s meds...they were rude and even told me they couldn’t cash a valid check, even though the bank is their banker. Told me I need to open an account...which isn’t true!!! Bad business, you are better off elsewhere

Went there for a notary as I have several accounts there. Rude lady would not notarize my paperwork for some odd reason. I went to my insurance agent who notarized my paperwork and told me that I needed to consider changing banks.

August 7, 2018 Dear Bank of America, In August of 2018 my husband and I discovered extensive damage to the foundation in the home we bought 2 years ago. The foundation is cracked and the SE corner of our house has dropped by approximately 3 inches. This needs to be repaired immediately. On Wednesday August 15th we applied for a home equity line of credit through BOA. We have been told several times by many of the staff we spoke with at BOA that we are premier customers and thanked for being such good customers. My husband and I have excellent credit. Our home is valued at $225,000.00 with $6,000.000 outstanding mortgage. We are both gainfully employed with an average income of ************ and a very little debt to income ratio. This should have been a no brainer for your institution. On Wednesday September 5th a home appraiser was sent to our home to complete the process for the home equity line of credit. On Thursday September 6th I was informed that we are being turned down for this credit line because our house is deemed unsafe. Yes, it is unsafe which is why we need to fix it. Yes, we have a trench dug around the house so the damage could be assessed and determined how best to correct the issue. This is a vicious circle. The trench cannot be filled in and deck replaced to make it “Safe” just to be dug up again in the next few weeks for the repairs to be done. I find it very disappointing that there is no help for people in our situation. People are given money every day to make improvements to their homes; we need funds to correct a problem that has to be corrected. As premier customers, we will be closing all of our accounts with your institution as soon as we can find an institution that better fits our needs and we secure funds for our home repairs. We have been loyal BOA client’s for many years with excellent credit. My husband and I have a checking account, savings account and MasterCard through BOA. These will all be closed and transferred to an institution that has a little more compassion for good people that need help. A truly disappointed client, Richard M. & Kathy L. Estrada

Bank of America closed my account for no apparent reason , I only used the account to pay bills, and told them the reason I couldn’t put a lot of money in my account I was told it was ok but apparently it wasn’t, the staff was great but BOA is not good business now I have to switch all my accounts. Stressful
