  Today I stopped into the Charles county Plaza Bank of America branch and had the BEST customer service I could imagine. The gentleman who greeted me at the door was polite and helpful, and Rita, who helped me with my transaction, was beyond patient and courteous, even though i made a mistake that took up a lot of her time. It’s nice to be treated courteously, and I feel compelled to make sure people know when good things happen.

  I will never bank with Bank Of America!!! I currently only have a online bank. They only allow 2500 deposit max except for payroll check. I got a check from someone who bought my truck for 8000. I tried to cash check & teller took no exaggeration 10 min then says he’s gatta talk to a supervisor. He comes back 5 min later saying account holders signature don’t match to have them write me another. So I did now when I tried with 2nd check they tell me since I’m not a account holder they can’t cash anything over 2500!!!

  Awful! Line wrapped around the building and there are only 2 tellers open. Mind you there are associates roaming around having casual conversations. I understand there are certain job roles, however there should be some concern shown for the elderly people left waiting in the sun for over an hour. This will be my last visit to this location.

  I'm done with Bank of America and I'm going to Capital One; at least I can get better service at the latter. I wanted to deposit money into my account (I have cash that I don't trust in the ATM which is notorious for eating money) and the inside was closed; now my account is in the red. Thank you so much Bank of America for machines that eat money, inconvenienced hours, unnecessary fees and rude tellers. Goodbye forever.

  I think the pandemic brings out the worse in people. I read the reviews about this bank and particular branch and chose to go there anyway. That was a mistake. I had a check, drawn off of this bank - and they hit me with the 'threshold situation' too. What this means is that although the check is drawn off of their bank - they will not cash it if it is over $2499 if you do not have an account with them. I made sure I told the bank that wrote me the check that this happened. These banks need to stop doing business with this bank and maybe they'll act a little better about honoring checks for their own bank.

  Left this Bank awhile ago closed my accounts out and guess what they sending me a debt card in the mail are you serious. How does that happen I called customer service and got that straight. I tried to get a certified card there with multiple banks accounts they said they couldn't do it. I said ok closed my accounts and went over too BB&T in VA and deposited my money, and walked out of there with a credit card no problem.

  I waited in a line outside only to go in and be told by the teller she could NOT cash a BANK OF AMERICA check due to their threshold?? And was told to go to my own bank to cash it which was Capital One. My bank then tells me there was no excuse why they couldn’t cash it and what does a threshold mean? It’s a bank with well over the amount I had to cash? I believe the teller simply did not want to do her job after I said I had no account and only wanted to cash it so I could deposit into another account. She decided to cherry pick and needs to be sitting at home while someone else who is essential and fit does her job for her. That’s exactly why I don’t bank with y’all.

  The other reviews giving this bank a one star are wrong - this bank should get no stars at all, but google review prevents me from giving zero stars. Ever since this COVID pandemic, the guards at this bank have become very bossy and seem to get their kicks and jollies bossing people around- they have some kind of tyrant complex. There's now a sign on the window stating that this bank is closed until further notice. Good riddance. If they ever re-open again, it'll be too soon.

  If I could give no stars I would. The female by the door is rude and very condescending. Needs training on customer service and the bank is dirty inside. I’m not a member there and glad I’m with the credit unions I have. I would never refer anyone to this location.

  From the Security Guard to the Agent and everyone in between, they treated me and my grandma with the utmost respect and attended to us as soon as they could even though we did not have an appointment. Plus we needed a spanish speaker. So even though our wait was long because our lack of an appointment, they got us through! And remember everything within COVID has delays now, our tax refunds, our amazon orders, and many more things. So these precautions that seem to slow things down save lives.
