I usually hate writing bad reviews, but I am afraid that I must because the service here is exceptionally awful. This is what happened to me: I went to this branch to order a cashier's check. Then the staff misspelled CALIFORNIA to CALIFIRNIA on the recipient's name, without giving me the opportunity to check for errors. Since the name was incorrect, the check was rejected. I went back today to fix this mistake. Then a very rude staff member, Ms. Padilla was assigned to fix it for me. Unfortunately, she issued another wrong check, this time misspelling the word TUITION to TUITON, again without giving me the opportunity to make sure everything is correct. I asked her to fix the mistake, but she rejected to fix it and refused to apologize. As a loyal customer of BOA for several years, this never happened before when I went to other branches, and I'm totally disappointed in their service. This, combined with increasingly worsening customer service over the years, disappoint me enough to consider closing my account and switching to another bank instead. I would rather do business with a bank that hires people with common decency and that show their customers respect. This is absolutely the worst experience I have had at a Bank of America.

They are all about making $$$$ for themselves. Rigid and obstructive policies and regulations discriminate against, as well as punish handicapped, senior adults along with other clients. You have to make an appointment to close your accounts and withdraw all of your money. Understaffed at Teller windows, leaving a very Long line near closing time. Kind and professional customer service liaison does her best to keep everyone calm while restrained by the rigid management, restricted policies. Don't ask for anything extra and expect to wait or be put off, for basic service. Offices on the 2nd Street, Belmont Shore are nearly architectural digest, appointed with some quality art, along with floor to ceiling windows, glass walls and a hint of mid century modern vibe. I will stay away.

Wow, the service has gotten so bad, They are short on staff, so not impressed with Alex the branch manager. I’ve been with BofA for over 42 years, I finally had enough. Their fees are out of control, the branches I go to are closed to to COVID. But this location, because I am not a regular, I felt like I was just another customer. Short staffed, high fees and a mobile app doesn’t work properly. So long, and this particular location, in my opinion not good at all.

This location is very low staffed. You will see staff walking around aimlessly instead of assisting customers. They mostly only take appointments and walking will have to have a wait time. I came to complete a name change on a personal account and it was a nightmare. This location overcomplicated it by requesting all these additional documents when every government ID and document has my name spelled correctly except this account. I ended up spending wasted time

Tellers are nice and polite but 9 times out of 10 they are understaffed. No shortage of personal bankers though, nice to see them chilling in their offices while 15 people are in line with 1 or 2 tellers.

Wish I could give them 0 star. Traveling to Long Beach,I needed a document notarized. I called them for 15 minutes straight, but nobody picked up. So I finally took my chances and drove there. They had a notary on the staff, but she wasn't able to see me because she was booked for the entire day. I only had one page to notarize, wonder why she could not spend 2 minutes to help out a business customer.

Every person that works at this facility treats me incredibly well. I feel extremely lucky to have a bank that is a global leader but still recognizes me and treats me as a respected customer. The service here is fantastic. Clean safe facility with great parking and amenities.

My husband and I wanted to apply for a credit card together so we made an appointment with a credit card specialist (not sure the exact title?). Marisol (not sure her exact title either) greeted us and then directed us to the person who would take care of us. This happened to be the wrong person... they were a mortgage specialist instead. Because of that mistake, we had to wait 20-30 mins past our appointment time for someone to serve us! Since no one was free to help us (I don't know why since we had an appointment!) Marisol had to. She told us it's impossible for us to apply together at the branch, she said we would have to add my husband on the card at a later date. This is NOT true!!!! You CAN apply for a credit card together over the phone and I did not know this until afterwards. Nonetheless, I applied for the credit card by myself. When I asked her questions about it, she didn't know anything about credit cards and so she would call upper management to ask questions on our behalf. She told us misinformation like the fact we couldn't apply together and information about rewards benefits. After all of that, I got denied the credit card so I got a hard inquiry on my credit record for NO REASON. I wish someone at Bank of America would have told us better advice to prevent things like this from happening. My husband and myself have called the branch and general Bank of America customer service and they failed to do anything about it. I would not recommend this branch or least make sure you're getting the right person. I should have walked out but Bank of America likes to tell you conflicting so it's hard believing who is right.
